Hotel Kap is situated within the city. Cheng is very friendly and accomodating. Hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood. it is very near the tram station. wifi is fast. location is just 3 station away from the Rijks Museum. good to know my room is situated at the first floor. i dont need to drag my luggage in the steep staircase. although Cheng assisted me on my way to my room. but nonetheless, i only have good words for Hotel Kap. I will definitely be back and stay in this charming little budget hotel.

The staff, the free wifi, & breakfast

I stayed here with a couple of friends for Kings Day weekend 2014, the staff team went above and beyond to help us every time we asked for it, looking after our bags and allowing us a place to freshen up before check in and after check out. Although it is situated towards the edge of the centre of town, once you get your bearings it is an easy and pleasnt whort walk to the canals, shops, restaurants and bars. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would reccommend the hotel to our friends. The stairs are really steep - was fun climbing them after a few drinks!!

The hotel was managed by an Asian lady and she was very thoughtful to the needs of the customers. The rooms were clean and well maintained. The stairs though may not be appropriate for young travelers as they are very steep. No problems and would stay here again.

this hotel is very cheaper in amsterdam. the room is really small, but service is not bad. also, breakfast is buffet and very nice. no lift......so you need to carry your baggage upstairs. i am very lucky....carry 25 kg of baggage to 4 floor. very nice experience.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Take tram about 5 mins...you can visit red light area. Must see!!

Couldnt be farther out, smaller or more expensive

I had my own closet...i mean room...and shower.

Dont waste your money unless you really really need a place to stay. The two coffeeshops directly north of the hotel are great value.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Youll need a tram or bus ticket to stay here. Its f**king far (and i usually dont mind walking at all)
Anna O. Solo travelers Singapore, October 22, 2010

Séjour à Amsterdam au mois de mai 2010

Très bonne situation dans une rue calme, résidentielle tout en étant à proximité des transports en commun, des musées et des canaux.
