About Bunga Permai Hotel

Description

Set in the countryside of central Bali and surrounded by culture, this hotel is one of Bali’s most private properties. Each room at the Bunga Permai Hotel features a balcony or terrace that allows for beautiful views. A swimming pool is available on-site, and rafting, jungle trekking, and kayaking are just a few of the activities that can be arranged. For extremely adventurous types, the city of Ubud can be reached in about an hour by foot, but the small villages and rice fields one passes along the way make the long hike worthwhile. Suitable Place for Relaxing
Ambience, View and Simplicity
I was travelling by my self. I intentionally choose a hidden place in Ubud for relaxing. And I got it all. If you ask for simplicity and quite ambience, then you should include this place as an option.

fabolous place in the jungle
location,environment,staff
we really loved this place.the hotel is some minutes drive from the center but you can rent a motorbike for a good price from the hotel.it is quiet, far enough from the very noisy main road and busy center.the bouldings are traditional balinese and the whole hotel and garden is beautiful with palm trees around the swimming pool witch has a nice view to the jungle.there is a small river in a valley under the big trees.it has a very relaxing sound which you can hear during your breakfast as well.the rooms and bathroom are very clean with simple and nice design .there is also a balcony or terrace with sofa and chairs.for breakfast you got fruit plate and you can choose from indonesian and european types of breakfast.thank you for making our stay so pleasant and enjoyable .

Holiday in paradise
Location - peace and quiet, secluded in a beautiful jungle. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere in a romantic environment. A feel of the "real" Bali!
We arrived late at night, tired and and hungry and although he kitchen had closed we were offered a mee goreng on our balcony with a cold beer. We could only guess at splender that would await us in the morning light. It was a pleasure to wake up to the sounds of the jungle and with a breathtaking view over the lush green forest, and the scented frangapani trees you would think this was paradise! The staff was very friendly, the food excellent and it was lovely to take a refreshing swim in the pool! We could not have asked for a better place to spend a wonderful week in total relaxation away from the maddening crowds. A ten minute taxi ride (5 dollars) into Ubud town for a night out at the markets and restaurants was just perfect! We loved every minute and will hopefully be back there!

Our first holiday in Bali
The view towards the mountains. The Balinese style buildings. Outdoor restaurant.
Our stay was lovely, we were able to use the shuttle provided to get into Ubud, the breakfast was great and even arriving late at night we were warmly welcomed.

Better than expected!
Environment, Quietness, $ Value
We would go back to Bunga Permai for sure! The pictures of the surrounding gardens/view do not give the reality justice. We wanted a hotel away from the main drag where we could scooter into town ($6 Aust/day) when needed & this was perfect. Once you get off the main streets, this place is paradise......(the vulcano we only saw by chance at sunrise, after that it's mainly clouded over-a pleasant surprise!). The top rooms are the best (we stayed in both) with balcony, privacy & views of forest.......bottom rooms are more "closed in", warmer & people walking by window height.........Having said this, there are limited rooms so never too much traffic. Staff were always helpful with booking anything for us. Some have limited English skills however a smile & body language always helps. The only negative comments would be that some basic maintenance needs attention e.g light bulbs, shower heads, door knobs etc......when my partner mentioned it, they were only happy to fix it. Also if you're looking for a full bar then it won't serve you here. This was great for us because it reduced the amount of "alcohol influenced" people. They do have Bintang & Wine however........Definately a place for an authentic Balinese experience rather than a Western replica you can get back home. Suits couples & singles, maybe babies but nothing there for children (suited us). Thank you Punga Permai & to all your staff, we'll be returning!

Rainforest Retreat
Rain forest location, relaxing in or by the pool and massages whilst listening to the tranquil sounds outside
It's pretty cheap for what it is, location isn't central to Ubud, which was part of the appeal once you go there. Beautiful rain forest views with peaceful atmosphere, our ground floor room had a private court yard to chill and read a book... Theres a reasonable sized pool and a few sun lounges to drink some beers and soak up the sun.. Cafe/restaurant is good, but nothing amazing but was satisfied with everything i ate. Our room once upon a time would have been pretty pimping, but times taken its toll and the room could do with a little maintenance i.e door locks, air con functioning. Enjoyed out stay here and would definitely return. The taxi to Ubud central takes 6-10 minutes, taxis are dirt cheap though so the cost is negligible
