I really enjoyed my stay to my surprise even the bathrooms were super clean. only two things that could've been a little better, firstly online it wasn't very clear if have to bring your own bedsheets or not + my bed sheet was kinda dirty but since I brought my own couldn't have cared less ;)

The hotel is a bit too far away from downtown, but I can accept this with this price. The hostel is very clean and tidy,

Staff were friendly, I was lost my room key and they just give me a new one without any charges (out of my expectation). Free toast with jam every morning... Room and toilet is clean and convinient place to stay in Reykjavik... Will back to this hostel if I revisit to Iceland again No breakfast included but free toast with jam, provided a big pantry with everything, I like the bar - a place to let us make friends from different country, toilets are clean as always

Great place to stay

1. I didn't notice that they will provide free toast in the morning. And their kitchen have everything you need, you don't even need to bring your own utensils. Finally, really easy to access.

The hostel is very quiet and clean, maybe it has passed the peak season of tourism, not many people stay in. Rooms are big, lavatoris are large as well. The view from the window is amazing. Their services are amazing as well, they provide 24/7 services, when you need help, they are always there. I am feeling so graceful that I chose to stay in this hostel. I meet a lot of great people there, which makes my first independent trip wonderful, and gaining more security. I strongly recommend bus hostel in iceland!!

certain staffs are really helpful. No blankets provided... When I was staying there, there were a lot of teens running around which can be a bit noisy. Card to room needs to be re-activated everynight..

Cosy but spacious hostel :)

Looking at the pictures didn’t excite me, but to my surprise, i really enjoyed my stay at Bus Hostel. From Bus Hostel, it is approximately 15mins walk to the shopping street "Laugavegur" (the start of the city centre) where you will find restaurants and boutiques. I go there mainly for food, and souvenirs, in Iceland everything is expensive. There are two supermarkets along the street "Laugavegur", one of them called "Bonus”. I especially love the space in the common areas and in the toilets. Toilets are separate for male and females, i prefer that. Love the fact that they serve free toast and jam in the morning from 7am to 9am (during high season). If you are a solo female traveller arriving in Iceland past 4.30pm i would recommend you to get some food that you can cook or heat up (aka instant noodles, or sandwich etc), reason because it takes 45mins to an hour to reach Bus hostel from the airport, and the buses do wait around a little (15 to 30mins) before they depart the airport for the city centre. Other option is that if you flew in from budget flights like EasyJet, you can buy their sandwich and heat up for dinner.. Bus hostel have 1 pantry in the basement and another on the 2nd level, and a big common area where you can buy a drink, watch TV or just hang around. Lockers are free, do ask for a locker key during check in, you just need to place a cash deposit of 1000 ISK with the reception, which they will return it to you when you return them the key. If you are a solo female traveller, i would recommend that you stay within the city centre if you do not like to walk alone at night back to the hostel. I was mostly back by 7pm before it turns totally dark. Or you could make some friends to head out together even if its night. :)
