Tranquility out of town

Infinity pool leading down to the Ping River
very friendly and personalized service from the staff. a daily water taxi (10.30am) and air conditioned van (6pm) take you into town for free. great red & green curries served up by the ping river. we enjoyed the frank sinatra cd which played at breakfast each morning!

Beautiful small resort!

The staff was amazing, very helpful with everything. Very easy to get to and back from downtown.
the resort is set on the river and is surrounded by nature. the resort is small and set out of town. but it is easy enough to take the shuttle into town and back to the resort. we also took a tuk tuk back from town one night. the rooms seems very new and were extremly comfortable. the staff was wonderful and very helpful. also, the food was very good there.

The Butterfly Resort...heaven on Earth

The decor AND the location
This is one of the most tastefully decorated place I have ever had the pleasure of staying at. It is situated in a gigantic property with impeccable grounds and lovely staff. The outdoor shower and jacuzzi tub were a definite highlight too! The only real drawback for us was the menu. The breakfast was great,, but we found the rest of the menu to be rather average and a bit overpriced for Chiang Mai, in addition to a 200 Baht corkage fee, which is rather steep. BUT, it truly was a gorgeous place to stay and the hourly shuttle into the city was much appreciated. Fantastic!

Charming, intimate, informal

Decor, charm, informal but elegant
i loved the breakfasts and dinners on the lawn under the 100 year old trees by the river, watching movies at night and working in the sala/projector room, by the river, and waking up in the beautiful fourposter bed with cosy mosquito net. i had to change rooms twice, i would stay there again anytime. the location outside of town is not problem at all, there is good access to major highways and a mini-mall with some food options. through agoda, this was excellent value for money
