Comfortable pleasant a bit far from town centre

Very nice room & friendly, helpful staff. A bit far from the centre of town if walking, as I was. Across the road is Rent A Bomb hire car which I would recommend. I hired a car from them to drive to Port Douglas at the end of my stay in Cairns but in hindsight I could have used the car on the days I stayed in Cairns.

Chose this hotel because of the internet free in rooms. This is rubbish there is none.
I requested internet 4 times in my three days and the staff lied to me saying it must be down temporary.
They not once fixed the issue so there was NO internet access in rooms as stated.
Best to avoid this one as staff not interested in fixing.

Good Value for Money - Basic and close to airport

We stayed only one night at this hotel as a place just to crash for the night after we returned from a road trip up north. It was basic and clean and all that we needed for the short time we were there. The place is a standard hotel/motel with relatively big rooms. The bathrooms were a bit stuff and smelled a little mouldy, but nothing we couldn't handle for 1 day.

A nice hotel with helpful staff. It's close to the centre but watch out for taxi drivers taking you the long way.

Disappointing
Only staying one night, proximity to Cairns city center (by car), pool

If you are unlucky you have to lug suitcases up two floors - stairs quite hard and steep, and if not accustomed to hot and humid weather, this is difficult. No elevator. Not sure how older guests would manage. Our room in need of some basic maintenance. Handle missing off wardrobe door, airconditioner dial broken, continually leaking shower head, and chipped bathroom tiles - in fact entire bathroom needed face lift. Mold in shower cubicle - hot humid climate, but no excuse for poor cleaning. Bed OK. This hotel has potential to be quite good given some money spent on some basic upgrading of rooms. OK for overnight stay.
NB Deluxe twin room? I would suggest standard twin room to be a more accurate description.
