Nice cool getaway at a small luxury hotel

Service, location and food
10
The service was attentive on all levels, from the bellhops who took our luggage right after we parked, to the tea and dining room staff who went out of their way to ensure that we had the best possible dining experience. The welcome drink and hot towels during check in were especially nice. The downsides, like many others have pointed out, are the issue of road noise at night, and the soft pillows. I like soft pillows, but I think the ones provided were a little too soft even by my standards. The hotel should really invest in some quality double glazed window panels to block out some of the noise, it would make the stay that much more relaxing. Nevertheless, I cannot wait to stay here again during my next trip up.

Cameron Highlands resort review

Breakfast, beautiful location, helpfulness of staff.

We had a wonderful relaxing stay at the Cameron Highlands resort. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and we had a room downstairs which has the new French doors leading onto the balcony which are much better at reducing the road noise. Breakfast is a delight which sets you up for a good day exploring the area. The staff are welcoming and very helpful. We would definitely recommend this hotel and will be staying here again in the future.

Very relaxing, we went on a guided hike along Jim Thompson trail where he went missing and we were invited to light the fireplace before dinner was interesting. Plus point to excellent 5 star service.

Brilliant Stay at Classic Hotel

Ambience, Brilliant Service and Jim Thompson Tearoom's Scones
9
By far the most impressive resort/ hotel in Cameron Highlands. In terms of positives, there are plenty. The resort has been maintained very well, the place is impeccable in terms of fittings and cleanliness. The Jim Thompson tea room was brilliant, the scones were the highlight. Nice place to relax and enjoy tea and scones. The reading room also offers a nice place to read and relax. The room itself-very well done for everything that has been included in it. Washroom fittings might be a bit-dated, but nothing to complain about. Tales of the Highlands - this book kept me company for a night - very thoughtful for the resort to keep it in the room. Jim Thompson's legend is all over the resort - interesting. Bed was very comfortable, balcony was brilliant to have. Cleanliness - top-notch. Room is cleaned frequently which was good. Staff quite attentive, ever-ready to serve. Room had everything that you needed. Negative(s) - noise from the road in front of resort- the location's brilliant but unfortunately if there are loud vehicles you hear them even with the door closed. Sound-proofing, improvements would be good to make this place perfect. Spa - prices were pretty high (I guess service must be top-notch too). I absolutely enjoyed my stay here, will definitely be back!
