Great Location

Near to points of interest . Hotel tours arranged.Spacious restaraunt lounge bar etc
7.3
the hotel was about 20 minutes walk from the main tourist spots forbidden city, tiananmen square, chairman mao memorial hall and shopping street. the staff were helpful and always ready to assist with bookings for the great wall, acrobatic show etc. the summer palace was easily reached by using the nearby subway. the hotel bedrooms were smaller than anticipated and somewhat in need of a a refurbishment. breakfast was substantial with all types of food available.restaraunt menu and drinks appeared expensive. overall a good place to stay for convenience.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Try to book taxis back if out at night as you have to hail them and not all wanted to go this way for some reason Take a hotel leaflet with you with hotel details in chinese characters as drivers do not always recognise the script. we were taken around in a circle on one occcasion and told we were at the side of the hotel but were nowhere near it. We then had to find our way back.If you do not speak the language you are at their mercy!

Efficient staff, easy check in. Capital Club breakfast not as good as downstairs. Think they need to buy new toaster for capital club. Good location. 30 minute walk to Irish Hotel and Pearl Markets
Hotel Feature Tip: Massage not as good as other places. Hotel only 100 rmb from airport non peak hour. Close to sub ways

English Speaking Hotel

Large room space,
7.3
The hotel provided english speaking staff which is very good. The swimming pool and the Gym are also very nice. The Twin Queen bed very spacious that can accommodate up to 4 persons. However, there is no free internet connection in this hotel. Even the business center charges you RMB 2 per minute for internet use.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Great Wall China in Badaling

the stay was an experience in a foreign country where most members of the staff can speak very little english but keen to improve their communication skill. generally, members of staff are very helpful and friendly. room service was excellent especially the chamber maid was excellent with her job. restaurant service in general was slow.

Satisfiied with our stay

Very grand, clean, spacious
8
Very big hotel with loads of rooms, restaurants and other facilities (gym, pool, bar, etcs). Hotel is very business like however they do have tour service at the reception. 15mins walk to major shopping areas and 20mins walk to Tian An Men and Forbidden city. Our room was clean and spacious enough. We will definitely go back again.

Nice hotel, good value for money, excellent facilities, friendly personnel, clean and vell presented rooms. Tianammen Square, Forbidden City and temple of Heaven at a walking distance.
Shopping Tip: Shopping is better to walk to Wangfujing area. Silk Market is not far and a taxi will do.

Excellent location

First class assistance from staff on the tour desk
7.7
We found the hotel to be in an excellent location. The room was large, clean and comfortable. Good firm beds. No Wifi in the rooms and the Business Centre is expensive to use. The tour desk staff were very helpful. There was often a long wait for cabs. Our impatience led us to jump on the back of a pedicab outside the hotel resulting in a near mugging. Very scarey.
Travel tip: Beware of pedicab drivers right outside your hotel.

An old school hotel

Helpful staff
8.3
The hotel is located close to the historical places such as Temple of Heaven and Forbidden City, however, it is a long walking distance from the commercial centre and city life. The staff was amazing and very attentive. Tour to the Great Wall and purchase of tickets to Shanghai were organised impeccably. The swimming pool is rather small but clean. Breakfast was not bad, however, definitely not worth of its price.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Forbidden City is about 15 min walk, Temple of Heaven is about 30 min walk
