Good value for money

Staff are extremely welcoming and helpful

The hotel is alittle old and the rooms could use a bit of a refurb/redecorating, but everything is functional and it is well cleaned. It has all the facilities you would expect at a midrange hotel (tea making facilities, TV, inroom safe, etc) and even a few extras thrown in (complimentary internet connection - a rare freebie anywhere in HK). There is a decent cafe/restaurant where you can get a made to order breakfast for about 30HKD (less than £3) and serves a more comprehensive menu throughout the day. But it was the staff that made the stay. There is always at least one receptionist on duty who speaks excellent English and is always ready to help or give advice. And despite most of the cleaners speaking no English, they are always friendly and up for a laugh. The hotel may seem a bit out of the way out in the more residential East of Mongkok, but once you get to know the area you realise it really isnt: - it is only an easy 5 min walk from Monkok East MTR station on the East Rail Line (located in the Grand Plaza mall on Prince Edward Rd West) which is especially convenient for those who plan to visit the New Territories or Shenzhen. -it is only a further 5 mins on the same road to Prince Edward Station which is on the well connected, centrally located Tsuen Wan Line. -The 1A bus gives you an easy (and air conditioned - very important in the summer) between the hotel and the Star ferry terminal making stops at Prince Edward Station and some of the major shopping areas such as Nathan Rd.

Small Room and Tiny Bathroom

Cleanliness & Location of the Hotel
7.7
The room is equipped with air conditioning, television with 3 program channels, fridge with 3 cans of soft drink and 2 bottled water, electric kettle, and safety deposit box. The room is small with twin beds with clean linen and blanket. The bathroom is extremely tiny which is smaller than the bathroom of a cruise ship cabin. No free bottled water and no coffee or tea provided inside the room.
Shopping Tip: Tung Choi Street where Ladies Market is located and Fa Yuen Street for cheap shopping. You have to exercise your bargaining power when shopping at Ladies Market whereas Fa Yuen Street shopping prices are fixed.

Lovely lodge but location is a bit far from town

Good view from room's window

I found that the lodge is a bit far from mrt but fortunately it is quite near to walk to the nearest bus stand to a catch a bus to town. It is nice to spend some times (about 15 mins) to walk to the town. The lodge room is quite tidy and clean but the bath room is a bit small. Overall it is nice to stay there.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: It is nice to walk to the town and by passing some florist shops and bakery. You may find a bird park on the way to town. There is a shopping mall and you may shop and watch a movie for your leisure. Further, there is a ticketing boost that is selling bus ticket and entrance ticket to visit Noah's Ark at Ma Wan.

Location is not near the City.

price is reasonable

Do not have restaurant near the Hotel, also do not have the Shopping Mails, need to take bus or Mini Bus to out side, at night the environment is not good ( so silent to walk). Near by only have the Fuel refill station and the church and resident. Take the Lunch after check out, the price is 5x to 8x , is fare but not so good. As near by do not have the restaurant so, the restaurant in Hotel is only choose we make. The reception only have a can machine to buy the Drink at night. The Rest room is small and the Television is the Old one, no digital TV so we only have 4 chooses of the Channels.
Restaurant Tip: No restaurant and Shopping near the Hotel

Excellent service but small rooms

Nice staff

Hotel is a bit far from MTR station. We often need to take a taxi to get around.
Nightlife Tip: Mongkok (shopping/eating paradise) is just 10 minutes away by bus 1A or 1.

Nice cosy place for a short stay

Good service, decent rooms
7.3
Good connectivity by bus, comfortable beds, neat and clean well lit rooms. Free wifi and local calls were a bonus. Friendly staff, helped us with currency conversion on a holiday. Guided us well to reach the tourist attractions in HK.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Ocean Park is connected directly by bus 170 from Waterloo road and it just took us 30 minutes.

Clean hotel with reasonable price

Facilities are a bit out-fationed but clean and tidy. Room size is standard, already better than other "tiny size" hotels in Hong Kong. Easiest way going to the hotel is exit at Prince MTR station and a 5 mins taxi ride to the hotel. Be reminded that there's nearly no restaurants or stores near the hotel, where it's located in a quite and residential area.
Shopping Tip: Take green Mini bus 2/2A to Festival Walk, a shopping mall in kowloon Tong.
