Convenient, clean and friendly
I was only in Glasgow two nights for a brief trip, but the George Carlton was the perfect place to stay. Literally right next to the train station (Glasgow Queen Street stop) and around the corner from the bustling city center at Buchanan Street, I was walkable to the Cathedral, Kelvingrove Art Gallery and the Gallery of Modern Art. Staff is incredibly friendly and courteous. The room was clean, spacious, modern, and comfortable. I would highly recommend.

weekend in glasgow
this was a very good dea until we arrived and saw that the room faced the back so the buzzing of a generator all night was awful ...so actually a cheaper hotel would have done as we never slept for the noise

Was just ok
Booked for my hisband and I, 10th wedding anniversary but wasn't special enough. For the price of the standard room which they call superior, it was just basic. Yes there was a mini bar with 2 wines and 2 beers and maybe 2 drinks worth in the decanters but the room was just basic. Nothing outstanding about it. Breakfast was buffet style with "nae square sausage". I mean come on, your in scotland, square sausage are a must!! Overaall it was ok, staff, from what I encountered were lovely, it is clean but extremely over priced. I could have gotten a better deal for over night on group on which is actually what I wished id done.
