Nice basic accomodations

Nice helpful staff, decent room size, hot water
Nice, basic accomodations within a small side street in Peurto Princesa. Only a few minutes tricycle ride to Robinson's Mall. The staff was quite helpful with anything we needed. The bad points were the wifi was bad, the shower pressure is very weak, and our room was missing a toilet seat.

Good location, friendly staff!

Location, electricity available all the time, spent a good night sleep.
We spent 4 days 3 nights in Casa Cecilia. We all had a goodnight sleep, electricity is available throughout the day. We arrived at 7pm and el nido is almost pitch black; however, power is available in the hotel including aircon. Wifi is also available in the room. We are located at room 204. As commented by other reviewers, casa cecilia is centrally located - thus, you will have access to everything and the beach is 2 or 3 minutes away. The size of the room is ok and fits 4 adults and 1 child. In terms of price, I believe its value for money compared to other hotels offered in Agoda. It also includes plated breakfast but no choices. Disadvantages: no tv even in the rooms or lobby. Early checkout at 10am but they allowed us to extend for another hour. It is our first time in el nido. We availed of both Tour A and Tour C; we enjoyed tour A better since we were able to do kayaking in several islands while doing island hopping. Tour A includes the big and small lagoon which are usually included in some local or foreign movies. The water of el nido is crystal clear, its like swimming in an endless aquarium with corals and fishes. Try also to do kayaking from the port to the nearest island like we did - it refreshing and enjoyable and can be done in 30 minutes or less. If you are a group of 4 or more, it is best to hire a private boat rather than paying the individual rates like we do. It would maximized your time and truly enjoy the view. You may contact Joseph - 0999 709 3300 for details. We are only 7 in the group but he gave us a boat that would fit 15 or 20 people. You may also recommend the food that will be prepared for your lunch in the island. Room Tip: Choose the room at the back. Like in our case 204, it has view of the cliff.

Location, decent bathroom
We had a bit of bad luck here because we stayed in the room off of the lobby and at around 2am a fairly large group of phillipinas and western men came into the lobby and were partying loudly. The staff at the desk seemed to be part of the party when I went out to ask them to quiet down, which was only somewhat successful. I doubt that's typical for the hotel, but in any case it was extremely overpriced for the quality of the room and the breakfast, and I'm sure that one can do much better in el Nido for that kind of money.

Better than expected!

The 3 best things about Casa Cecilia was the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, the clean condition of the room, and the central location within El Nido Proper.
My experience at Casa Cecilia exceeded my expectations. I stayed at Casa Cecilia with a friend and we both agreed that the cleanliness and comfort of the room exceeded what we were expecting from a 2-star hotel. The location is very central, not more than a 3-minute walk to anything within El Nido. One thing that was frustrating was the lack of working Internet/Wi-Fi throughout the day. The Internet would only work at midnight and would remain working for a few hours into the early morning. That was the only negative thing we experienced about Casa Cecilia. Most restaurants in El Nido have working wifi though, which usually attracts tourists. Further, El Nido recently got 24-hr electricity, so you don't need to worry about not having power from 6AM to 2PM. If I were to return to El Nido, I would stay at Casa Cecilia again. The value for the money is great and I feel as if the room was much nicer than many of the beach front properties. If you come to El Nido, be sure to check out "Sunset Bar". The owners are great and you'll be at the best sunset spot in town. It's about a 5-7 min tricycle ride (50 peso is all you should spend).
