Overpaid for poor accommodations and hosting.

It did have a bed and a toilet
Room was moldy and water was cold despite having hot water. We did arrive very late, 1-2am from Manila, however we had called earlier in the day letting the host know of arrival situation. They let us know there would be no issues and would be happy having us. Upon arrival we waited 10 minutes for the door to the place to open and were greeted with a more "what are you doing here" attitude. The price was also very expensive for the accomodation type, location, conditions and hospitality. We found another place immediately the next day for 2/3rds the price, better location, nicer room and nicer hosts. I would advise looking elsewhere but gave this place a fair review.

Not worth your money.

location, fast check-in, cool climate
At this time of year, Tagaytay is one of the nearest places to the capital, and one of the coldest spots in the country. BUT Tagaytay is generally overpriced and underwhelming, just like this inn. The only good thing here is the location. It is near the fruit stands and take home stop and it sits along the national highway (sta.rosa-tagaytay) and is in walking distance proximity to the main tagaytay-calamba road. From the door, you can immediately see that it was refurbished from an old inn named Casa Bella. So I wasn't really expecting much. The lobby reflects the structures age and the receptionists i cannot call trained, but were accomodating. The hallways were dimly lighted and the room was tiny even for a budget hotel, not the size I was expecting for the price I paid. In the room, we immediately noticed the laminated menu/extra charges table and were amazed everything was to be charged: Shampoo, Toothbrush, Soap, towels, Pillows, Name it, its charged. TV was a small CRT with bunny antennas we couldn't even use. The toilet had no tissue roll and when we woke up the next morning, also had no water. We had to go to reception to report it and found out they were doing something in the basement (not repairs, like laundry) that is using up all the water in the pipes. On top of all that, NOT Surprisingly, we got charged additional for checking out late, by the hour. And we never even got to use the air conditioning the whole time. TIP: You can get better rooms elsewhere at the same price or less. Hotels near sky ranch are better.

budget room with no breakfast

location to the fruit stands, near the intersection going to tagaytay proper (junction) and the way to highlands/picnic grove
the first room we were given, the bathroom floor was flooded, but the staff and the owner was attentive enough to relocate us to a better room upon bringing it up with them. standard rooms no cable tv.

Too far if on commute

air-conditioning, staff, room size
It was okay though everything was far off the places you would usually go to in Tagaytay. Never experienced breakfast there, thus the score. The room is cold with or without air-conditioning but it was an okay room if you are just in it to sleep in.

I will not stay again in this hotel

The room is clean, the aircon is working as well as the water heater.
Upon arrival as we were checking in the manager boasted that their set up is patterned after the hotels in LA(Most likely Los Angeles in California) The room is quite small, the bed mattress is just like those being used in dormitories, the pillows are thin, just 3 inches of foam. If you will request for an extra pillow thats an extra P50. If you will ask for a cup of hot water there is a charge of P20. The shower area is quite small, less than 1 square meter, when you shower you can not avoid bumping your elbows against the wall. If you sit on the toilet seat, your knees will surely touch the wall also. The towels are small and thin. The staff even hesitated to give us fresh towels on our 2nd day of stay,i insisted so they gave in. The bed squeaks when you move.We did not enjoy our stay here.

Close to amenities and to the lake!
Visited Tagaytay for the first time and really enjoyed it. The manager, Nelia, and the staff were excellent! I love their breakfast and clean rooms. Would definitely come back to this hotel! Thank you so much Nelia for your hospitality! Emil
