Great place, calm and relaxing

The modern cottage still fits the whole resort style. Great garden every corner of the resort. Friendly and attentive staffs

I stayed at room 101 - the deluxe garden cottage which is newly built w modern furniture and decoration. The resort is expanding w 2 storey building and it will be a pity if u stay on the 2nd floor with no garden surrounding. Try a meal at the restaurant, average food but excellent atmosphere with sand, sea breeze, green garden.

We booked Cassia only a few days before arriving on Phu Quoc and got a good deal at the end of the season. After reading reviews we booked one of the new rooms rather than one of the older bungalows. The new rooms are wonderfully decorated and due to the high ceilings they feel huge. We loved the stone floor and the 2 sinks. Currently they are expanding the resort on the neighboring ground and therefore you can hear construction works all day. However we did not mind too much as we knew it before and did not spend much time at the resort during day time. We hired a scooter (in good condition) from the Resort but learned that they charge more than double the price you pay at other places. Also the Taxi transfer is much more expensive than just catching a random one at the airport. Staff at Cassia were all very friendly and helpful and the staffed generally seemed to be quite cheerful and relaxed. We really enjoyed our week on the island. However Phu Quoc has a severe problem with garbage and massive new Resorts being build. The whole island feels a little like a big skip and building site but there are still some quiet lovely beaches when willing to drive a scooter.

A great spot!

Service, location, dining

We had a wonderful stay at Cassia Cottages. The service was fantastic and the food was delicious. The cottages were well appointed, clean, and always smelled of cinnamon! The staff who work in the reception area went out of their way to help us confirm our flights after they had been changed as well. We left it with them and they told us to go relax on the beach and they would find us when it was sorted out. We will definitely return!

Location great. Service hit n miss

location. Ambience. Beach

It takes a while to appreciate this place. We were in the new 'block' which you will either love or hate. Eventually, when the issues we had with the room were resolved, we loved it. Although it is classed as a'garden room', there is actually no garden as the new block is on its own in brand new gardens so if u are looking for the cottages shown on the website then make sure you request them. Service is hit and miss. It's either great and the staff can't do enough or it's rubbish and u can't get a drink. The food again is hit and miss. Think there are different chefs and we had the same think twice and it was completely different on ea

Beautiful Resort Gardens

The spacious newer rooms, the outdoor shower, happy hour
8.7
My husband, our 4 year old daughter and I had a ball at Cassia Cottage, that was mainly down to the other couples we met there that week. We stayed in the newer villas and they were modern, beautiful and spacious. The outdoor shower was lovely. I booked the rooms through Agoda and they were really expensive at almost USD 250 a night but it was peak season and very few options left. The disappointment was that our villa looked onto an ugly fence with building site going on next door. A lot of money to pay for that view. The breakfast was great but nothing outstanding. Cassia Cottage Spice Restaurant gets a top choice in the Lonely Planet but we ate at much better places throughout our trip. We ordered a birthday cake for my husband's 40th and is was a bit disappointing for the price we paid. Loved the cocktail happy hour each evening. Each guest got a free cocktail. We spent each evening on the beach swimming, watching the sun set and socializing. Another minor 1st world issue were the towels, they could really do with new ones. You can't pay 250 bucks a night for worn out old towels. Otherwise a fun place to stay with lovely restaurant staff. Hope I don't sound too harsh!
