I like this hotel, it's very central, it has a variety of good features, like the gym, Internet room, games room, cafeteria downstairs, etc. but the rooms are very old-fashioned and need to be updated, particularly the bathrooms!
Breakfast - Large, delicious buffet
Gym - modern and well-equipped
Internet room - 6 PCs, printer, etc.
Games room - reading area, pool, table tennis, foosball, etc.
Restaurant, café, lobby - elegant and delicious
Location - super central!
The rooms need to be updated, they look lke they've seen better days!
- Restaurant Tip : The cafeteria of the hotel is very good, although not the cheapest!
nice hotel for the price but not all rooms have ACGuest Rating: 4.3

the food and drinks at hotel's restaurant were overpriced compared to local bars and restaurants , watch out if you are travelling in the summer and you get a room without AC
price for the rooms if you are travelling in winter, my room didn't have AC but because of the season temperature was nice with open windows, location -close to san jose point of interest
hotel's restaurant overpriced ,some room without AC

It appears that the hotel rooms have been ronnivated in stages. We stayed at this hotel the first day and last day of our trip in Costa Rica. On the first night we stayed in room 202, who's bathroom was outdated by two decades and the windows opened to the noisy Avenue Centrale. Upon our return, the staff put us in room 339, which was updated much more recently and much quieter.
The hotel restaurant was very formal and served huge portions with excellent service.
Large clean rooms, centrally located by the museums, staff was accommodating, free wifi and breakfast buffet.
Depending on your room can be noisy (see below).
- Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Take the Avenue Centrale down to the marcados, where in a one block radius you can purchase anything from suitcases to puppies.
