comfortable, relaxing and convenient

convenient location midway between Luohu and Lonnggang, close to Metro interchange station, close to local shopping.
enjoyable and comfortable but overshadowed by the 15% surcharge on top of the prices for food bar etc.

Clean, convenient and friendly staff.

Clean, convenient and friendly staff.
Location was convenient, staff friendly and rooms were clean. Still a smoking smell in the non-smoking room, but this is probably standard in China :)

Typical Chinese hotel

Kind staff, acceptable internet access
The staff were welcoming and helpful, very standard room, amenities and room. The internet is good and bad from time to time, surprisingly more so good than bad.

5-star hotel that is up to par

Location, Staff and room
Century Kingdom hotel is located near the train to other parts of Shenzhen that is a plus point. If you want to use Bus or even Taxi, there are a lot nearby too. It takes around 10mins by taxi and 20mins by train to reach Dongmen, Shenzhen. There are lots of local eateries around Century Kingdom, so there is no disappointment in food. Staff is friendly and great. Room are big and spacious, with details up to what kind of pillow you would want to sleep on. The toilet itineraries are of good quality too!

Hated it. Will never go back

There was nothing good about the hotel
Absolutely hated this hotel and everything about it. First of all, our reason for booking it was because of the beautiful photos we saw of the pool online..... False! Despite the temperatures being in the mid-high 20's, the pool was drained and we could not use it whatsoever. Staff spoke little to no english whatsoever which made life so difficult for us. Buffet breakfast and lunch was horrible. So so so horrible. Limited foods. No signage on foods. IT was just shocking. I really hated my stay here. On my level, there was constant noise and fights/arguments. Despite complaining to the assistant manager, she did nothing about it, so my friend and I had to take matters into our own hands and confront the arguing couple and tell the family of 5 with 3 little kids to keep it down and stop running in the corridors.... it really was shocking. Seems as though there is no acoustic control in this hotel.

Stayed here for 4 days. I will never go back.

Although staff didn't speak English, they tried their best to be helpful and we're not rude. Their poor English was rather annoying though.
I booked this hotel for 4 days as I needed to travel to Shenzhen for both business and leisure. The main reason as to why I chose this hotel was because it was the cheapest 5 star hotel with a pool. At check in, we were informed that the pool had been drained.. I was really unhappy (especially because the weather was actually hot and I wanted to use the pool). I was also very disappointed with housekeeping as the only thing they seemed to do was straighten the cover on the bed and empty the rubbish bin (they didn't even throw out the rubbish laying on the floor!). Also, upon my arrival on day 1 I had asked for a microwave but never received it. Trying to communicate with staff got really annoying as they speak minimal language, and some of them speak none at all! I also had to keep reminding them of what I wanted/asked for. I expect better services at 5 star hotels. We couldn't sleep at night because of how noisy our floor was EVERY SINGLE NIGHT. Although we let the assistant manager know of our complaint, Nothing was ever done. Walls are very thin and everything can be heard. There were families with kids across from us and a room full of funny looking men in suits and crying women to our left. Kids were running in the corridor and we had to take matters im our own hands and tell people to keep it down. Breakfast buffet was shocking! We only went once, on the first day of our stay, and never bothered again. It was only 50 RMB/person but just not even worth that. There was no variety. Foods were not labelled. We had to go find another place to have breakfast afterwards. Location wise- it was okay. It's about a 15 min drive from the city and costs between 30-40 RMB per way. All in all- we didn't enjoy our stay and will not be staying here again!
