Good hotel, great promotion price, good location

Good and clean hotel at a nice location which is next to everything. Enjoyed the swimming pool. Breakfast was ok, nothing impressive. Very weak wifi and had had time to get connected
I enjoyed my two nights stay at Century. The staff was very helpful. It s a big and clean hotel. Only one big negative was wifi connection however we managed without wifi and still enjoyed our stay. We would stay here again and it was recommended for its value, location, swimmiming pool and cleaniness. Bring your own shampoo bc both bottles with different colors said body wash.

Century Riverside Hue

I got an exellent rate at this hotel of an upgraded room with a river view. The staff and their efforts to assist in all matters (printing docus, arranging tours and onward travel) and location.
My stay at the hotel was lovely. The staff were wonderful. They recommended and assisted in booking several very enjoyable tours as well as tending to my other requirements. The room was large with a great view of the river. The hotel was clean and the breakfast was excellent. The location was fabulous

Staff friendliness

Staff was very friendly. We get a day trip recommend by the hotel, it was very nice to know more for Hue. Good location in the city centre.

Noisy disco-bar outside

Location, views
Unfortunately there is a noisy disco-bar on the edge of the grounds, so as it was the festive season it was very loud in the "garden" rooms. "Riverside" rooms, which should be quieter, were offered at an extra $10, but we didn't know the party would be continuing outside until 12-ish. Apart from that, the hotel is in a good location - walking distance to the Imperial City and near boat trips up to the royal tombs. The breakfast (the only meal we ate there) had a lot of Asian options, and good crêpes.

Avoid this hotel

View of River
We found this hotel in many ways to be absolutely dreadful. My husband and I were traveling with my parents and decided on this hotel based on location along river. There is no way this can be a 4 star hotel; 2 star at best. Here is a breakdown of our experience: 1. Appearance of hotel: old, run down, sterile and lacking style, outdated, stains on carpet, furniture and staff uniforms. In need of major renovation 2. Staff: not overly helpful or friendly 3. Room comfort: awkward layout, damp feeling, musty smelling, pillows are old and hard as a rock, stains on carpet, walls and bathroom. Hard wooden benches are terribly uncomfortable. Walls are drab and without any decorations. 4. Gym and spa: spa rooms smelled of mildew and appeared like a run down hospital room. Massage lower than average and a bit dodgy. The pathetic Gym consisted of two shaking machines and a few other pieces from the 70s . 5. Notice level: upon entering we were blasted with excruciatingly loud karaoke style music next to the reception desktops making it nearly impossible to communicate with the front desk staff. At night, we were tortured with even louder horrendous music blaring from the local bar. There was no escape from this cacophonous assault on our ears. 6. Breakfast buffet: decent variety of choices, view of River from restaurant was superb. 7. Location: about 2.5km from Imperial city. We recommend walking along the river to get there. Careful crossing roads! Overall, we wouldn't recommend this hotel. The greatest pleasure was checking out.

Pleasant Stay

Location and Guest Service
Had a pleasant stay at this hotel. Guest service was good. However, breakfast should be improve if I will compare it to other 4 star hotels in Hue. The hotel is generally old. Location is very good as its close to park, restaurant and had spectacular view of the river. Overall a good stay but will not come back.

Ok, but initially not very customer focused.

Initially communication was not great and staff just walked away in the middle of conversations. The first room I was offered stank of cigarettes. I was offered a riverview upgrade which was good, but generally there was a lack of customer service until the second day when the staff were very helpful trying to assist me to book a train ticket online on their computer dispite my credit card failing (which I now realise is a standard problem with booking trains online in Vietnam). The location was great but the breakfast was not great western wise (even though I love Asian food after breakfast!) Faded glory and not really 4 stars, but ok VFM. For the price I might stay there again, if there weather was good the pool would have been handy.
