Booked last minute during busy weekend for Glasgow. Paid much more then many guests. Would have been happy to pay £40-60 but paid £98!!! Web site shows selection of rooms which all looked really nice. Ours was not. Damp on ceiling, single glazed window. Window cill falling appart. On the upside it was clean. No free tables at breakfast, and no instructions from staff as to where to sit. Turned out empty table with coat and drink actually was a staff members. My breakfast was 10 minutes earlier than my husbands. Food itself was mediocre.

Nice People, Tired Hotel

Staff, Food & Location
We were 2 couples in 2 en-suite rooms. We had a kid with us. The rooms were good size but our rooms toilets stank of a real strong chemical. The shower pipe was leaking so there absolutely no chance of taking a proper shower. The bed sheets were brownish and the pillows had someones shoe marks on it. We had to take it back and get it changed. We were only there for a couple of nights and were going to travel most part of the day so didn't really bother complaining. The staff was actually quite nice and welcoming. The kitchen staff were fantastic. The lady helped us find our way to the highlands and suggested us some good routes which worked wonders. 5 Stars for that! I think we will come back again but this time make sure we let the staff know if something isn't quite right.

1 night stay

Room, tv, cleanliness
My stay was fine. There are a number of steps. Not suitable for anyone with mobility problems. No lift. Breakfast, excellent choice. Toast, cereal, juice, coffee/tea and full cooked fry. Good wifi also. The room was reasonable spacious. Tv, flat screen, although small, had a good selection of channels. The only 'fault' i could find was, on my arrival, the window was open (old windows), and room was freezing. At the time, the temperatures were below zero. The electric wall heater took a long time to bring the room to a reasonable temperature. There was aslo a kettle and coffee/tea making facilities. Bed was clean and comfortable. Shower good. Overall, no complaints, after having read some of the other negative reviews.

Very Good

Cleanliness, Comfort and Value For Money
The guest house situated next to a freeway. There were plenty of car parks not far from the hotel but you have to pay the ticket if you park your car before 6pm. There is a bridge for pedestrian to cross the freeway and it is a perfect spot for photographer to take long exposure light trails of Glasgow city. There are no shops or restaurants nearby, you have to go to the city centre which is not too far and still within walking distance. The Guest house itself was ok. Rooms are clean and comfortable but you have to share toilet and bathroom. Wifi is available but very slow. Breakfast is good. Our room located at the top floor and if you have a big suitcase that is going to be difficult.

Filthy Bedding
Terrible,I would not let a dog stay in this place. The duvet was absolutely filthy, stains, urine stains,we only came across this filth as the staff were too lazy to put the cover on correctly.Worst place I have ever stayed.Would recommend future guests check the bedding.

Quick stay over Glasgow

Only for a night, but the stay is pretty good; the room is like in the attic, common bathroom which I dont quite care, and there is a small washing basin.

Very small and old room

Only one night stay but the room is nothing like in pictures shown.

Brilliant for the money they charge.

1) location 2) price 3) quality of food and services
I'm a performer and this August , I was performing in Edinburgh fringe. Me and my gf decided to go to Glasgow for a couple of days after I finish with my show. I looked online and found this guest house which was the best and chippest one. I've read some reviews and it seemed everything is fine with this place. A lot of people said the breakfast is so good. I have to day they were right. I loved the traditional Scottish breakfast they served. There were other sort of breakfasts available for people who don't like full Scottish breakfast. The room was nice and clean and the heating was working perfectly. You will receive your services by a bunch of friendly staff. We left our stuff inside the dining room before check in and after check out. It was a big help for us as we could go around the city without any disturbing bags with us. If I go to Glasgow again, I will definitely go back to this gust house.
