Not worth the money.
Not good at all. I check in after booking a deluxe city view room only to find that we were put into a room with two little beds overlooking a parking garage under construction. It was out honeymoon so we thought we would treat ourselves to a massage and booked two 60min massages at the spa. We revived a half hearted 43 minute massage and were shown out the spa. The breakfast food was awful. Overall the hotel was cold and inpersonal. Not at all a 5 star accomindation.

2 small tips to improve

When stepping out of elevator, cant immediatly see directions for room numbers. At each door to have door bell in order not to wake up neighbouring hotel guests.
Enjoyed. Thanks

Comfortable room and great location

Large Room, good food, comfortable bed
It is located away from downtown, so much less traffic. Rooms are a bit worn out, but overall spacious and comfortable. The food and service are excellent.

Great place to stay in Yangon

Great staff, ambience and value. Fantastic buffet. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It seems that lots of VIPs stay here and security is very tight but not intrusive.
Lovely, peaceful and pampered. We were upgraded to s Deluxe special, facing the pool and the Shwendagon. Great views.

room size
musty room; AC that is too noisy and not easy to control- three settings are not optimal; smokers have smoked in non-smoking rooms. washrooms a bit grotty.

Not a Five Star Hotel

Beautiful location next to the lake, great view of pagoda, nice pool
The hotel is nice if you are epec Ng a 4 star experience. But it isn't a five star place. The rooms are old, the wooden furniture is chipped and worn. The pillows are all polyester ad overly firm. The wifi is slow, even by Yangon standards. For the money I will return to the Shangrila, which while still not up to global 5 star standards is a better hotel for not much more money.
