Check Inn China Town
very central location for China Town. Kitchenette a bonus.
China Town is very busy in the run up to Chinese new year. The narrow lanes are very crowded in the afternoon. Stalls open early so it is much more pleasant to stroll around in the morning from about eight o clock. If you want vegetarian food 'little India' to the north edge of China Town has some delicious restaurants.

Great Value, Good location
Good location, very clean, friendly staff
difficult for taxi to locate. No restaurants
check inn was a surprise. we didn't expect such good quality rooms at that price! place was clean and it even had thick towels with logos on them. location was excellent for shopping in and around chinatown. but don't use it as your hq for other parts of bangkok, as traffic in the area is horrendous!

Great location, cheap, super Asian breakfast
Noisy, some staff dishonest, wifi does not work most of the time
Second stay at this hotel, in 3 weeks. Arrived around 20h having reserved a deluxe room online. The room was adequate as they all are, but very noisy extractors and no sound insulation internally. Great Asian breakfast. Wifi works only from time to time

Value for money but small room
Value for money, helpful staffs
In a secluded back lane so for a solo female travellor
check inn is clean with kitchenette and cable television which is value for money as i booked twin room last min at a good price. in fact, the kitchenette seems redundant but nice to have. the hotel has no features and use cheap material to provide the basic hotel environment so it's quite noisy and you can hear neighbours talking/ tv. as it is in secluded area, taxi will not know how to go and when leaving, you have to walk to main street to hail a taxi. it is not quite possible to take mrt to hua lumphong as it's quite a distance walk unless one is adventurous. i know bangkok very well and been there many times. it is possible to walk and exercise.

comfortable room.
traffic jam of china town. hard to find.
it is a very resonably priced hotel right in the middle of china town. i chose this place as i wanted to taste of china town life. staffs are kind. breakfast tasteless. price reasonable. loved it.

Nice hotel and value for money.
very clean
This hotel is very value for money, its more like a four star hotel than 2. I would reccomend this hotel to all travellers to Bangkok's chinatown. breakfast is good and the staff are very friendly.

Good value for money
clean, nice stuff
no view, no hot water
It is a very pleasent hotel, the rooms are quite nice for the money you pay and the staff is just fine. There is a free internet in the lobby (a corridor), and a bad thing is that there is no hot water. The breakfast is pretty scarce when compared to usual European style hotels, and it is served in bed. There is no view, so pick this hotel only if needed to sleep in China Town. The bus station is nearby, and also the Southern Railway Station.

Great hotel in the wrong location
Friendly staff, great Asian breakfast
Location - difficult to find
We chose this hotel for it's proximity to the train station as we were due on the sleeper train to Chiang Mai the next day. Looking back I would have preferred to stay in an area with more tourists and facilities even if it meant slightly more in taxi fares. The hotel is quite difficult to find - we printed off the map on the website but it still proved quite difficult. We had ordered our train tickets to be delivered to the hotel but they must have misunderstood as well as they ended up delivered to the China Town Hotel and only by luck we went and asked there. The room was clean and tidy - with a little kitchenette area that to be honest was unnecessary. The bathroom was clean with a toilet, sink and shower - with hot water etc. I booked through Agoda and breakfast was included. They bring it up to the room at the time you have requested. There was a choice for Asian or western breakfast and although we weren't sure what we were getting we went for Asian and it was fine. Still not sure what it all was but it tasted good. The aircon worked - the telly worked, the bed was a bit hard but we found out though our travels that this was normal. So onto the area - it is in the centre of China Town - so it's more like being in China than Thailand. Loads of little food stalls but with no translations so we didn't know what was on offer. I know this is part of the fun but I'm a vegetarian and wanted some clue first! We did feel a bit lost here - no bars and not much in the way of food that we understood. Overall then, if you need to stay in China Town then I would recommend this hotel. Remember it's only 2 star and quite cheep but I think for the money it's good value.
