Bad choice
The mistake was to take the surprise option from Agoda...so my mistake. But this was a stranege place with a non functional staff. The delux room was so small could only open my small suitcase on the bed, Both shower heads full of calcium and working badly, terrible breakfast and non working service team. Big spotlights on the outside lighting up the wall make night time daylight even with the curtains closed.I would not go back there if they pay me....

Don't go there
It was my mistake to try that surprise booking from Agoda ! It was a surprise as I did not know things could get so bad in Thailand. Even for that little money a rip off and so badly managed. Taking about bad functioning shower heads, big spotlight outside the window to it is day time also at night in the room, worst ever breakfast with not functioning team, Bad smell in the room, the list is endless. Recommend to NOT go there !

Not bad, but not great for the money
I stayed at this hotel as a solo traveler. Having been to bkk before, I was interested in finding something along the more happening portion of Sukhumvit, not a far distance from the BTS, and a place with wifi. This place fit these things but for the money, I think I could of got a place that was a better value for the money with a nicer hotel staff. One of the greatest reasons to go to Thailand is the people and no matter where we travel, the people are who we remember. The staff, while helpful when asked just were not very friendly, except for 2 of the girls working there - one of them is named Boo. As for the room, what was nice is that, the air con worked well, there was no smell, there was a safe provided, the hot water worked in the shower, the bed was comfortable, the maid service worked well, the hotel provided 2 bottles of water, and the hotel gave me privacy. The negatives of the room were that it is very small, the paint on the walls is chipping and the wifi is only so so. As for the location, it is very nice, but I've stayed at the very end of Sukhumvit before, about a 10 minute walk from the BTS for a cheaper fee, but a much friendlier staff and a lot larger of a room. Next time I return to BKK, I will be considering there.

convenient location, clean small hotel, cozy rooms like serviced apartment
This hotel is at a very convenient location, near to BTS Phrom Pong. Tops Market is ten short steps away. Emporium mall is opposite to the hotel. Terminal 21 mall is at the next BTS stop. The rooms are cozy and clean, just like serviced apartments.

Check Inn Promphong
Check Inn Promphong was a good low cost hotel in Bangkok. The staff was friendly, it was close to the train, and clean.

Big bed but small room
This is a very basic hotel but if you need a place with cooking facilities the room has a microwave and two electric rings. I don't know why anyone would want to cook as there are plenty of very cheap places to eat. The problem is the room is so small there is barely any room to move. The bed takes up most of the room and you can just squeeze down one side of it!
