Good value for money

Location, Price
My brother and I stayed in a studio which was a bit small, but was manageable for the both of us. The tiny kitchen was surprisingly equipped with everything we would need if we wanted to cook something or warm up any leftover meals. The bathroom had a good-sized tub and plenty of hot water with good water pressure. My only complaint is that the room had zero ventilation, so it was always very stuffy. Even with the window wide open there was zero breeze blowing into the room, so in the night it would get especially warm and stuffy (even with the room heating turned down). I would opt for the one bedroom space instead as it is much airier and comfortable for two people to share.

Total ripoff
Me and my sister stayed for 4 nights. When we first got our room. We was supriesed by how small and bad it was. Went down to complain. The lady in booking daid this is what we payed for and is the standar of the hotel. The room we had faced the front and was so noisy we could not sleep. No aircon in room even thought it says on the website that there was. In short we had to sleep there for 2 night befor we could change room. Because the first lady did not inform us we had too come back at 10-10.30 if we wanted to change room. All in all. I would not recommend this place too anybody. Its old and small and not worth the money. The staff at recepiton knows nothing and is very unhelpfull. They only say they dont know and talk to the people in booking. In short. Do not book here. The room is nothing like the picture on the website. And its very small with no aircon on the building. Dont stay here. You have been warrend

stay elsewhere
We stayed 7 nights while on our honeymoon. The accomodation is in a nice area but unfortunately does not reflect the standard of the area. The room is very noisy you can hear everything outside until early hours of the morning and than there was tradies working and banging from 6am most mornings. The room cleaner comes early in the morning there is no "do not disturb sign" to put on the door handle so having to be woken every morning while your asleep was not enjoyable. A smell of sewer came from the shower and from outside the room which was disgusting. The room has no cooling or heating which makes the room very stuffy when taking a shower. The room is not very big and the bed is uncomfortable .The toilet lid was broken. Staff are not very friendly. While waiting to check in when we arrived I stood there and listened to two girls at the front desk having a whine about another staff member (very unproffesional). Not to mention we had to ask to get fresh towels as there is a 7 day policy where they do not replace towels. Overall you get what you paid for I would suggest if you were on a budget like us save that little bit more and stay elsewhere.

7-min walking distance from tube station in Zone 1

Quiet, convenient and inexpensive
We booked a one-bedroom apartment 2 months in advance for 15-night stay in August to secure a good rate (30% off). The location is terrific. The apartment is a 7-minute walk from the South Kensington Station in the Tube Zone 1 (I have timed it on my iPhone), and 10 minutes from the Science Museum, the Natural History Museum and the Victoria and Albert Museum. Besides, a supermarket (Sainsbury's Supermarket, open from 7:30 to 24:00) is next to the hotel/apartment. We sometimes bought food from the supermarket and cooked in the well-equipped kitchen. The decoration of our apartment is a little bit shabby but it is acceptable considering the price. The worst we faced during the 15-night stay was that the washing machine was out of order on the 12th day. The hotel washed and dried our cloths for free and returned them the next day. In general, the hotel is good and highly recommended.

To stay or not to stay

Location . Kitchenette , Supermarket
Booked a one bedroom flat 2 months in advance for 10 night stay to secure a good rate , but was given 2 studios instead . Hotel knew of this a week before but did not communicate with us. Alternative arrangements could have been made but trying to get a one bedroom at short notice at the peak of summer we would have had to pay top prices. Exhausted after a 15 hour journey to London , and arriving on a Sunday evening , we did not appreciate surprises like this. Although hotel staff tried to explain that 2 studios cost was more than a one bedroom , this was not the issue. Contacted Agoda and management of staff who did try to resolve the problem. We decided to keep one studio and get a refund for the other . Refund amount was small compared to inconvenieced caused . However we decided to make the best out of the situation otherwise whole trip would have been spoilt. Future travelers please confirm bookings with hotel prior to arrival to avoid dissapointment.

Bad Service

just the location only.
It was not really a pleasant one. On the first day we arrived early and was told to leave our stuff in the lobby, which obviously wasn't cared for. At night after coming back, we realised that my two room booking (seperate) became one two room apartment instead. While u claim this room is in fact more costly, an early notification is the least that could be done. A letter was addressed to my relative, and because of the poor usage of words and the poor command of English the writer of the letter had, we thought that we had to move next morning. Which is a very unpleasant thing to know last minute. It is also very unsafe, we had more than one incident whereby some non residents wanted to follow us up, in which the security did nothing about it. The walls are thin too so basically whatever goes on in the room can be heard. Also one of the bathroom's shower was not working. The good thing is that the kitchen was in good condition, great for cooking.

Fantastic location

Location Price Room Size
Our stay was perfect. Our initial choice of studio room was a little small for two so we were offered and took a one-bed apartment for an extra charge. The apartment had a fridge without freezer section and as we were staying for a reasonably long period we asked for one with freezer. Within a few hours the staff had managed to deliver one to our room. The block is ideally placed - just a short walk from Kings Road, Chelsea and a five minute walk to South Kensington tube. A Sainsbury's supermarket with long opening hours is a couple of minutes walk away. Despite being so central, our accommodation was quiet with no noise disturbance.
