Gorgeous surroundings at the Cherry Resort
Views from the hotel up to the mountains and down to the tea fields; local walking tracks; staff friendliness
The surroundings of the Resort are wonderful, with Kanchenjunga in the distance and the brilliantly green Temi Tea estate all around, The opportunity to see the pickers at work, and have a laugh with them, was one of the highlights of our Sikkim trip . The Resort's facilities are certainly adequate, if not outstanding, and the staff proved to be accommodating and pleasant.

Not in Gangtok. It is in the Temi Tea Gardens.
Amazing Tea Garden Views, Quiet Surroundings, Local Life
First off this hotel is not in Gangtok. It is a 2 hour drive to the Temi Tea Gardens. The hotel isn't great, a bit beat up and run down and electricity cuts off. That being said we were there in low season so maybe things run better in high season. Surrounding tea fields are amazing. If not interested in the tea fields I do not recommend at all.

Tranquil stay at an excillent location
1. Excellent location within nature 2. Nice view from rooms 3. Super spacios rooms and bathrooms
Excellent tranquil stay right in the midst of nature. Nice tea garden and mountain(Kanchenjunga)view from the rooms(deluxe royal). Every room has a private balcony. Management & service staff sometimes are a bit lethargic and unprofessional. General food quality and variety is good, price worthy as well. Rooms and bathrooms need more furniture and amenities. Room tariff is also reasonable (specially considering the remote location). Ideal for leisure family trip of 3-4 days.

It was quite place with scenic beauty.
Quite Place, Natural Scenic Beauty & Friendly Staff
The scenic beauty of the surrounding is superb. The Hotel provides bare minimum facility like stay & food. No other facilities are available. The food quality is okay. The resort belong to Sikkim Tourism Department and leased to a private party to operate. The staffs are local people, but not professionals. They friendly, but needs proper trainning. One should have much expectation from the resort and can enjoy the quiteness and the nature. Due to cloud, we could see the kanchenjunga mountain range. During Winter (Oct-Jan), the sky is clear and one see the sun raise and the kanchenjunga mountain range.
