good location but noisy

staffs are friendly and helpful. Good location. Nice heritage boutique atmosphere
First they set us to a room at front which very noisy at night. We almost hardly to sleep. But the next day they change me to a bigger room at the back with more facility but charge no more. It's more quiet. The shower was bad that there was no water mixer. Guest have to mix hot and cold water manually. But any way, if they improve the sound proof for all the room, they can raise the price abit.

Old style heritage, but boring

Location, Furniture, Quiet
We stayed there for two nights in a VIP Suite that was facing to the back of the building. The room looked much better on the photos compared to in reality. The old-style rustic furnitures was nice, as was the tiled floors, but it felt very bare and unfurnished. A little bit of styling with paintings on the walls or some other wall decorations would be nice. And we had to block opening of the public urinal-style "air freshener" that squirted a cloud of lemony scent into the room every 15 minutes. The alacarte breakfast was ok and the room was rather quiet, so not a bad stay over all. Maybe a bit overpriced though.

George Town - a brush with history!

1. Location was very close to the bus stop 2. The wooden floors and railings were exquisite 3. The room was spacious
Our stay was comfortable. The room was spacious though not very well lit. Few essentials were missing in the bathroom like soap. The towels were tired and worn out. The only staff present wanted to help but was new to the township and therefore was not of great help. The other staff who were visible were not interested in helping with our 'places to visit' tips that we wanted. The place was cozy but right on the main road and sound of traffic continued throughout the night. The wooden window in the bathroom opened to the corridor and were full of peeping holes and gaps. Overall enjoyable experience. Breakfast was minimalistic and European.

Great Place To Stay

Friendly staff, big room, nice little green backyard
We booked a normal double room in October for around 25 euro. Cause our room had no much light we asked for another one and they were so friendly to upgrade us to a VIP room for free. Staff was always helpful and very friendly. Breakfast is standard (eggs, rice, pancakes) but well done. It's a good hotel also with a good location to get around Georgetown easily.

Very pleasant

Friendly staff, heritage building, location
Really liked the spot. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Beautiful building in a good location. There was even a seating/lounge area in my room. The only thing I noticed was the room floor was dusty and a bunch of mosquitoes, but it was a non issue for me. All up highly recommended. Do checkout the awesome rice pancakes and peanut/coconut filled rice ball things with sesame seeds sold at this stall on Cintra a couple of minutes walk down the street.
