Receptionist who throws punches if you complain about dirty bedding.
Having lived in Cambodia now for 6 years and working in the hospitality trade i can say stand well clear. Arrived at hotel in early evening very dismissive staff member on reception to start. Room had hair all in the bathroom, bathroom door with large kick hole and no safe as stated. requested change of room and had another key thrown at me. That room had no pillows broken shower, broken shelving, ripped bedding, mold on walls and shower curtains and no safe. On calling reception requesting pillows (if the rooms are getting worse why risk a move) a member of staff turned up and put the aircon on. I had to go to reception to ask for the pillows, receptionist started to get angry when i told him to get of facebook and do his job. 10 minutes later two filthy pillows arrived. upon taking them to reception to show the staff, he smashed the reception desk came around the desk and physically threatened myself with violence. The accountant and security had to force him back to his station. I was moved to the correct side of the hotel, this is no longer called classic it is nana, a old rundown hotel join with classic. Requested manager in morning and was told no manager available, not till i informed them that i was getting police to look at footage of the evening action did a manager turn up. Manager visited the rooms took no responsibility and blamed staff, when informed by accountant of what happened said that the staff member would be sacked by that night did not happen. You could see all staff including manager are afraid of the young man yet another case of employing a uneducated family member and watching a business be destroyed. As another guest who saw the matter said it wont be long before he hurts someone.

Road works outside
Back to Nana again after 2 months because I enjoy the location; within walking distance to Sorya Shopping Centre and Psar Thmey. However, there are some construction works going on at the main entrance making getting in and out of the premises a little "messy". I booked for a double room but the reception gave me a twins and like my last visit, towels were not in the room when I checked in. The kind housekeeping lady got them for me eventually. Enjoy walking over to Bolina for dinner, but would probably try booking another place when I have to visit Phnom Penh again next month.

Hotel Nana is in the center , 5 min walk to center market and about 20min to riverside , opposite is the sorya mall and near the pub street for me and my friend NaNa hotel is good location and value for money
