City Bowl

Cape Town’s City Bowl district takes its name from its unique amphitheatre-like shape. Bound by the sea and backed by Table Mountain, this is essentially Cape Town's central business district and the place where visitors are most likely to be based. Green Market Square was a humble farmer’s market when it launched in the early 18th century. It has blossomed into a lively flea market in historic environs, and it’s a favorite stop for tourists who can pick up gifts or stop by a café in the late afternoon.
