Friendly service at a no-frills, decent city hotel
Friendly service, downtown location,
We appreciated that the hotel staff did a good job at providing services such as parking and restaurant advice and had a friendly attitude throughout our stay, which made our short stay in Tirana quite enjoyable. The rooms themselves held a basic, but decent standard.

A small oasis in Tirana
Basic comfort, reasonable breakfast, fast internet
The room was rather small (about 3,8m x 2,0m) and cramped. It had a fridge, hairdryer and satellite TV with over 100 channels, including Al Jazeera, CNBC, Bloomberg, CCTV English and NHK English. Room did not have a kettle or safe. The shower was the overhead type which I dislike.
Hotel does not have a lift (elevator).
Lighting was adequate; desk has a lamp. Good hot water and drainage but water pressure in shower frustratingly low.
Even though Tirana reportedly has power outages, none experienced during my stay. Whether because I was lucky or because the hotel has its own generator, I don't know.
Room, towels and bedlinen were clean. No complimentary drinking water supplied.
Wifi signal was strong (generally 4 bars) and stable.
The hotel (and locality) was quiet day and night. Cannot hear other rooms from mine. Heater worked well, though wasn't much needed except on one cool night. It has an airconditioner on the wall but wasn't needed during my stay.
The hotel is about 40 metres inside a small alley off Rruga Ismail Qemali. Several cafes and patisseries just outside but few restaurant options in the immediate area, though there are plenty in the Blloku area about 500m away. There is a Euromax convenience store just 70m from the hotel; it stays open to midnight. Hotel is also within 1 kilometre of most sights in central Tirana.
It is however quite distant from most bus stations – there are several – and requires either a taxi ride (bargain for 300 Lek) or a 25-minute walk to get to most of them. This is an important consideration if you're planning day trips out of Tirana.
Satisfactory range in buffet: bread, cheese, ham, yogurt, cereal, eggs. Have to ask for coffee.
First time ever in my experience, a city hotel does not have a free city map available. So either get a roaming phone or print out city maps in advance.

Reasonable city hotel for work in Tirana
Friendly staff, good breakfast, clean room
Good, as usual. Single room small, but warm and clean. OK for business stay, as out all day at office.

Good location and very large room
Nicely tucked away at the end of an alley, so no noise at all!
We liked the hotel because it was simple, but had all the basic services you need, like wifi and a fridge in the room and good breakfast. The hotel is clean and the front desk staff s very helpful and speak perfect English!
Good security due to Prime Ministers guards outside the hotel!
It's on walking distance to major tourist attractions and shopping and eating areas.
A very good Italian restaurant if you go out to the main street form the hotel, turn right and right again on the next corner and then half a block away towards the river.
Also, for a good walk/run, go to the big park nearby!

Overpriced, but otherwise decent choice
It's way overpriced for a midrange place, especially for Albania. While the room was spacious and comfortable, shower was basically dripping water and water wouldn't drain from the bathroom floor and we had to deal with a puddle in the middle of it during our stay. On the positive, the location is great near the Blloku area with all the good restaurants and cafes. The mini buses for the Macedonian border also leaves from a stop nearby. Breakfast was decent. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Since it's impossible to plan surface travel to/from/within Albania, you will need assistance from staff at some point and City Hotel's staff were helpful with sending me to the right place with a taxi. I would've rated the place lot higher if the price was a bit lower.

comfortable hotel about 3km away from city centre
The Italia Hotel is in a quiet quarter of the town and a little away from the huzz and buzz of Sarajevo's town centre. A cab from there to the hotel or back will not be more than € 5,00. I booked a single room and was given a very comfortable and spacious room. Only the size of the bathroom was a little too small. Breakfast was good in a room on the upper floor with a beautiful view over Sarajevo.
You have to enjoy the old town including a very impressive Muslim cemetry built as a reminder of the civil war.

good location, near city center, small hotel
small and tiny hotel, good breakfast
small and tiny hotel between buildings, good breakfast
15 mins to city center with main tourist attractions such as National Museum, church etc...
The next street has many good bar and restaurants.
