Decent enough hotel

Room size, quiet location, close to metro
It was fine - straightforward and uneventful.

Uncomfortable and unplesant but the staff tried

could be worse?
I rarely write long reviews. But this hotel I wouldn't wish upon my worst eneny, so hear hear: There are so many good things about Shanghai and this Hotel represents none of them, nor does it seek to. Upon entering, there is the sinking feeling, maybe somewhat like a sinking ship, that most people who were able to had evacuated but some poor souls were left roaming....Including the staff at the front desk. The staff seemed symphathetic when I complained about, oh little things, like used band aids stuck to the floor, barely breathable air in the room, no internet when it was advertised, room key that didn't work.... But i believe their sympathy ultimately does not compensate for an uncomfortable night with that 'weird' feeling you get in an old, smelly, poorly maintained room. I know it is cheap, and that is why I stayed, just wanted somewhere to sleep for a business visit, but if you cannot even sleep what is the point.? Whoever is responsible for this operation ; Management/ owners? should be ashamed.

Basic hotel in a great location.

Location, value for money
Staff spoke no English, but for the price of the hotel I wasn't expecting them to-so I planned accordingly and had everything I needed printed out in advance. They were friendly, helpful and tried their best.

A budget hotel that suits my need

Close to the #9 Metro subway Station
I chose this hotel because it is close to my friend's office; and because it was cheap. I was given a room facing the stadium. Bed sheets and towels were really worn out and they never changed my bed sheets for 5 days. For the price I was paying, I did not expect daily changing of bedsheets, but for 5 days? I did not use other facilities of the hotel.

Good location and hotel

5 mins to train station
We stay 2 nights and again for 4 nights after coming back from our Suzhou, Hangzhou, Wuxi, Nanjing tour. Breakfast was provided and almost always the same menu (coffee, tea, porridge, fried mee, fried rice, egg, sausage, vege, chinese pancakes, water melon). However, can just keep you started for the morning. Easy to catch taxis and there is a 24 hr internet cafe just 3 mins from the hotel. The hotel also include wifi (only on ground flr)and each room equipped with free internet connection. So suggest you bring your own laptop. Tesco is also just next door and you can get fruits, groceries, drinks and even medicines. Beer is very cheap , just RMP6-10. Also next door is Starbuck and another local coffee shop. Massage shops also few steps away.
