Guangzhou has been a major settlement for many centuries, but it’s the city’s modern successes that make it one of China’s must-see destinations. Major manufacturing and industry jobs have been migrating to Guangzhou for years, and it has become especially well-known for hosting the Canton Fair, which is the biggest international trade fair in China. The city is a favorite among those in the business and trade fields, but vacationers will also find plenty of things to see and do, many of which revolve around the city’s rich and ancient history. The city is served by Guangzhou – Baiyun Airport, which is less than 20 miles from the central business area and features a selection of business hotels and a metro line which connects to the rest of the city.
