Koh Jum / Koh Pu (Krabi)

This small island near Koh Lanta is divided into two parts, one side of the island being called Koh Jum while the other is known as Koh Phu. Because of its proximity to Krabi and the other islands in this archipelago, it’s a great destination for travelers that want to stay close to the beach but want to get away from the loud parties and seemingly endless nightlife of the bigger islands.

Tham Phra Nang Nai, or Diamond Cave as it’s more commonly known, is a very popular destination among most tourists to Krabi and the surrounding areas. The large cave system is one of the most beautiful in the country, featuring illuminated caverns of stunning rock formations and waterfalls. The colors within this cave are some of the most unique and visually impressive.

Extreme sports enthusiasts and adventure seekers will almost certainly make their way to Sa Phra Nang, where a hike through the lush jungle eventually leads to a cliff with dramatic views of the sea and green-toped peaks of the area. This area is not for the light hikers, nor is it suitable for anyone who has issues with balance or vertigo. But it’s a very popular activity for serious hikers.

There’s a lot more to see and do in Koh Jum, and the best way to discover what else this city has to offer in terms of attractions, landmarks, and hotels is by exploring the interactive map on this page.
