I stayed at this hotel numerous of times. Always come back here for a great stay. Staff performance is always great. The food keeps getting better and better. Internet connection is probably one of the fastest in town. The location is very convenient and you can go anywhere from here.

Good location for business and tourism

Big room, good Asian Breakfast and helpful staff

The hotel located behind Japanese Embassy and near Kandawgyi park, only 700 meters so good for morning exercise. All the staff are very helpful and friendly, the room is big with the good internet connection. The bathroom is clean except the filter for tap water should be changed as the water is brown. Breakfast on the top 7th floor is great with the nice view of Shwedagon Pagoda.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: You could walk from the hotel to visit the Aung Mye Thukha Monastic Education School in the morning and Bogyoke Aung San Museum.

Hotel staff are friendly and very helpful. Rooms are clean and fantastic view of the Shwedagon Pagoda from the restaurant on top floor. About 10 to 15 mins to the Aung San market and taxi cost around 2,000 to 2,500 kyat. Walking distance to Scwedagon Pagoda which Is a must to visit. Overall a good trip and could consider another visit.

Nice and Clean hotel near Shwedagon Pagoda

Great Staff who's always trying their best to attend to your needs

Room was nice and clean, though the bathroom looks dated and needs some refurbishment. Other than that, no complaints about the room. Compared to the other hotels I've stayed in Myanmar, this was one of the best hotels in terms of room cleanliness and size. Location is out of downtown so you do need to take a taxi to get to downtown where the Bogyoke market and Sule pagoda are. It's about a 15 min walk to Shwedagon Padoga from the hotel if you don't mind the hot sun and dark lanes at night.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Visit the Shwedagon Pagoda during sunset time, when the grounds are not so hot to walk barefoot on, and the pagoda is lit up. Amazing sight to behold!

Good for one night stopover

Overpriced, but cheaper than other Yangon options

Good mid-range hotel on quiet street

Room size, wifi, location
6.7
The Clover Hotel is a satisfactory mid-range hotel, nothing great, but a good value in Yangon. Just a minute north of Kandawgyi Lake and only a 10 minute walk to Schwedagon Paya, it is well-located outside the crowded downtown area yet still only a short cab ride to any sight. The Clover is excessively fussy about changing money and will reject any bill that hasn't come directly from the mint, even if it looks perfect to you, they'll find a reason for rejecting it. Change money elsewhere, or you'll be very frustrated. The restaurant is adequate but not especially good. Breakfast is weird and mediocre. Laundry takes two days, for some reason. The rooms, however, are large. The beds are comfortable, the linens are very good (maybe the best thing about the hotel), the air con is good, and the wifi works anywhere in the hotel (albeit slowly). The staff is friendly and tries to be helpful.

Best hotel for the (relative) value in Yangon!!!

Non-smoking, good location, newly upgraded
8.3
People staying in Yangon have to understand every hotel is over-priced to to lack of rooms. But for my money, this was the best deal in town and I would stay there again...this is my first choice hotel in Yangon! Rooms are large and clean. Not much to the rooms and no fancy furniture, but it is clean...and they don't allow smoking in the building. If you have been to Yangon, you know how important that is as a non-smoker!!! Location is right across from the botanical garden...great for walks or a jog in the morning. Location makes it easy to get to most places either a business person or a tourist would want to reach.
Hotel Feature Tip: yangon has no atm system and most places accept only cash!!! when purchased on agoda, this hotel required no deposit upon check in, but don't find yourself without some crisp us dollar bills
