Next to Paya Shwedagon

Location
6.7
The hotel rooms are quite basic, the bedsheets are in polyester and just awful. The hotel is quite close from the paya shwedagon but away from any restaurant. Staff is quite helpful. Overall overpriced.

Reasonable priced hotel

View from of Shwedagon Pagoda from the top floor restaurant, especially at night
8.7
Reasonable hotel for budget conscious visitors. One night stay is OK. Small "superior" room with no view, but everything was working (hot water, AC and free WiFi). Check-in/check-out was quick and easy. The location is a bit far from downtown, but not too far from Shwedagon Pagoda. Although I wouldn't walk to Pagoda anyway. Taxi ride to downtown or to Shwedagon Pagoda was less than three dollars one way at the time of writing. The restaurant on the top floor looked deserted and we didn't eat there, but the view was magnificent. Didn't have breakfast (included), but got our breakfast boxes for the early flight.

Clean hotel with friendly staff

a/c, can arrange for currency exchange
5.7
A clean and friendly hotel in a good location relatively close to Shwedagon Pagoda. Staff are more than happy to help you with changing USDs and organising taxis. They will put together a (pretty basic) breakfast box if you are unable to make the breakfast opening hours. Rooms are unremarkable but nevertheless clean and comfortable with a fridge/freezer and cable TV.

Near Shwedagon Paya

Reasonable rooms, clean with plenty of hot water. Good service and restaurant with a view of Shweedagon Paya. Great location near Swhedagon Paya and a beautiful park.

Basic hotel, large room, fast Internet

Deluxe room is large, Internet is fast, but poor amenities, stinky pillows, noisy stray dogs and traffic
5.3
because of the stinky pillows, i would probably not return given other choice.

Good value mid- to top range hotel

Friendly helpful staff
8.7
I paid about dollars a night and found this a good value hotel to start my trip in Burma. The room was clean and comfortable. The TV was good and had a range of channels. wifi worked pretty well. Breakfast was mostly asian style but pretty good. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The only downside was being woken up at 3.00am by reception who claimed "my lady had come back and was outside". As I was travelling solo I wasn't sure what this was about (but can guess ...)

tidy hotel and service minded staff

clean, lots of staff and free wifi in room
8.7
we have extra bed in the deluxe room for 3 pax but have enough space. room and shower room are clean. restaurant for breakfast on the top floor with view of shwedagon is quiet impressed but food have not much choices.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: walking distance to shwedagon
