Very comfy
space, lay out and the ensuit bathroom
It was very good and very comfortable, the staff were friendly and helpful, but the lift was a little small to be classed as disabled access.

Good location, old hotel
The bed, location
The hotel was quite old. The toilet floor creaked when we walked on it. The location is wonderful, near bullring and the train station- gives you a lot to do!

Ideal choice for budgeted journey.
Next to Birmingham New Street Station and close to Birmingham Moor Street Station. Provides everything I need while I stay including hair dryer. 24 hours cpunter service.
Includes all essentials for your stay. Can leave baggage. When I left my baggage in the afternoon, the staff just gave me the luggage room key and then I have to put my baggage into the room myself. And the room was so small that it was nearly full. I had to move other baggages of other guests so as to create spaces for my baggage.

It was okay, but not amazing.
The hotel was undergoing refurbishment and opposite road a major building construction going on, so it was kind of noisy at times.

Cheap. Nothing else.
Price, location
There was ongoing construction works at the doorstep of the hotel which wasn't a pleasant sight to see. Receptionists looked jaded and weren't friendly. We had to open up the luggage store room ourselves, keys were just handed to us. They didn't offer to lift a finger. There was also some commotion behind the desk and it made us feel uneasy. The elevator wasn't working so we had to lug our big suitcase several floors up. There was no complimentary wifi. Since the night's stay was just a stop over before heading to London, we were fine given the cheap room rates.

Budget (at the price we paid) but does the job
Location, staff, warm
This is a tired hotel but it's as clean as it can be considering the need for a re-furb and the location is great. It's very close to shops and the station. We paid a discounted price and were very happy. the beds were comfortable, the rooms warm and the showers hot. We needed a clean and comfortable budget bed for the night and this did the job. The reception staff were very friendly and accomodating, allowing us to leave our luggage.

Ok for the price.
Location, price, staff ok.
This was our first time in this hotel and it was choosen because the ratings were ok and the price ok. The room was very small and being an old building the floors squeaky but it was only for one night and i would be happy to return if i wanted a budget hotel. With a little work on things like loose taps it would look a lot better.
