Spacious and Comfortable

Very spacious room, Nice location, and Friendly staff
Very near the New Street train station but the entrance of the hotel is facing away (the back facing the station) and so some travellers might have difficulty find the hotel which is supposed to be very near. However, the room is very comfortable and spacious with very warm an friendly staff plus the wifi is very strong.

bank holiday stay

comfort , clean & location
The reception staff were brilliant we had a few issues but they rectified it easily, the bar staff on the other hand were rude & not helpful at all , the hotel is a lovely place to stay but wasnt impressed that it ran out of pumped lager & beer by friday afternoon on a bank holiday weekend , not good management

Super central but feels a bit dated

Location, Staff
No free Wifi. Seriously. Why do the fancier hotels always charge extra? Makes me immediately feel unwelcome. Other than that I'm satisfied. Rooms was tidy and had enough space for a baby cot, bed was comfortable, bathroom had a tub. Location is excellent, close to New Street and the train station. The room and the hotel itself felt a bit dated, but that's a matter of taste I guess.

Ok for one night

Breakfast was the best part of the stay
We had booked a double room and paid for an extra bed as there was 3 of us. The extra bed wasn't there ready so we had to wait for housekeeping to bring one up, the reception staff were rude when dealing with this request saying that we hadn't booked an extra bed even though I had my booking confirmation with me. Hotel parking was all full due to a wedding taking place in the hotel. Again staff were rude when we expressed discomfort at having to park elsewhere as we were 3 girls travelling together and it was late to walk back to the hotel from an alternative carpark. Room was adequate, bathroom wasn't great. Best part of our stay was definitely the breakfast. Wouldn't stay here for more than one night.

convenient location. horrible restaurant service

convenient location. horrible restaurant service
Room is nothing to rave about, but wonder why they call it apartment when it has nothing except a hotel room. The service at Bugis Street Cafe ws terrible. We popped by for lunch. It took them 10mins to take our order (cafe is totally empty), 40 mins to serve 2 plates of rice with meat and 10 mins to get the bill (and the water refill we asked for never came).

definately not 4star

good location, clean rooms, great housekeeping
mediocre. very old hotel that is not worht the 4star price tag. fire alarm malfunctioned at 1am during our stay and the guests had to be evacuated. no apologies from the hotel despite the inconvenience caused ~ no where near 4star customer service in my view. overall, it is overpriced and overated.
