The coral island is an unintented place for us because I actually want to book another place. Even the american couple we met on the way still insisted that the coral island is the racha. So there are quite a lot bepuzzlement for the travellers.
However, this island is a very nice place, especially when you arrived at noon. There are so many colors for the sea.
The weakness is the expensive price for the food and transfer service; the TAX and service charge for the food are particularly confusing.
I recommend this place for families which want a getaway for two days. And two is enough, I think.
Get good preparation (food)before you go to the island if your budget is tight. And there is a nikkon transfer service which is cheaper.

Ultimate in Relaxation
Great beaches and pool. Rooms.
As far as value, you can't beat this resort. The rooms are comfortable and clean. There is no TV in the room, but that is OK because you are forced to enjoy the island. You can't find a better place to relax and wash you stress away in the clear waters of your own semi-private beach.
I definitely recommend it.

Romantic hotel on a small quiet island
Quiet, romantic island, friendly staff, good and reasonably priced buffet dinner, snorkeling, good massage.
We stayed at Coral island 4 nights. The island was beautiful and rather quiet. In hotel the staff was friendly and helpful. Room style suites the atmosphere. Delicious and reasonably priced buffee dinner with wide variety of Thai food and romantic live music.
Snorkeling opportunities right from the beach with the most interesting sites around the rocks and at least 40m from the beach. For snorkeling enthusiasts the water clarity is often poor in the mornings, slightly clears in the evening. Can be windy in the mornings.
The transport from Phuket island to Coral island and back by boat is relatively expensive.
This island is definitely not for anyone looking for a serious nightlife.

Excellent for at peaceful 3-4 days stay. Best snorkeling and atmosphere at Banana beach around the corner.

nice beach, good snorkling
we stayed at the hotel for 3 nights wich was more than enough. although the location was nice, with a great beach and good snorkeling, we found that the hotel did not live up to it's potensial. the bungalows and the resturant needs remodeling. we recommend you to eat te buffey as it is cheap and ok. overal the stay was average.

Enjoy a relaxed athmosphere on this nice island
Nice island, nice location and good views, lot of fish to be seen when snorkeling, corals better at walking distance Banana beach, friendly staff. Internet via wireless is for free !! Every day staff brings you free coffee at 3 pm. Take some books for reading with you!
If you like to experience some days off the main land, on your island, just to relax and do not more than sun bathing, snorkeling, swimming in the hotel pool this is a good place to be. Donot expect a luxury hotel, it is a simple hotel place but you all have your own bungalow with airco, fridge, shower/toilet. There is no TV in your room, which we did not regret at all. We liked the pool table as doing nothing can get you bored.
Say hi to the 'reception desk cat' and the island dogs, they are all as relaxed as the island.
Walk the trail to Banana beach, it has less tourists, better corals and lot's of tropical fish. Also you can get dinner/lunch up to 4pm if you want something different from the hotel food.

5 days on Coral Island
Solid accommodation, good food, friendly staff, good service.
Coral Island Resort is a nice little "village" surrounded by two beautiful beaches, both good for snorkeling and swimming. It is all very idyllic for maximum 2-3 days since there is not much to do after the sun goes down. It feels good to sleep for first few days but then it gets a bit monotone. It is generally a good place for families with kids

Nice beach surrounded by coral and tropical fish.
There should be a TV set in the room, especially at the lone island like this. Smelly toilet water, and I wonder why they setup white fluorescent lamp in the room; can't relax at all. Am I supposed to camp here? Even at a low price, we have to pay extra speed boat fee at 1600 for 2 person. That's more than the roomrate I paid. No worth staying.

Coral Island Relax
Scenery, Simplicity, Relax, Sea, Pool, right on the beach
What a fantastic place for a great holiday!!
Relax is the key word, although if you wanted there are banana boat rides, parasailing and other such activities, but nobody is pushing you to do anything and is all up to you. The incredible calm that descend in the early afternoon when all the daily tourist, visiting with the boats, go home, is MARVELOUS!
The most awful think is to re-adapt to your daily life once back at home, I wish we could live there instead.. watch out for me in the future, who knows it might happen for real!
I read the reviews before hand, and some were complaining about the cut of electricity during the day, the lack of perfectly fresh water to wash and so on, but for us it was all in perfect style with the place, we could have done even with less; in all a great, undemanding, unwinding, relaxing holiday.

Quiet Life on the Island
Crystal Clear Water
Free afternoon tea delivered to the room
An ideal place for those who want to relax and just be with the nature. Nice beaches with activities (not all provided by hotel though); banana boats, scuba diving class, snorkeling, sea walker, cayak etc. We can walk to the banana beach by foot.
For the activities, if you refers that you stayed at the hotel, or ask the hotel staffs to ask the price for you, you can get discount.
