We love this place. This was our third visit.

Snorkeling off beach, grounds, pool
We stayed in rooms 33 and 34 our first visit 3 years ago. The rooms then had hand carved Balinese doors with chain and padlock closure and cinderblock walls. Room 33 now has updated doors (i do miss the charming ones) plastered walls and mosquito netting. The remodeled bathroom has a giant "stone" tub and double shower head. I love the bamboo ladder towel rack. There was a refrigerator in the room. One needs to ask to borrow a hair dryer. In the morning we could hear the family that lived over the back wall when we went out to the bathroom. My husband wears a brace on his ankle so being able to walk to the beach to snorkel is a great plus. Recommend this for a lovely Balinese experience - it is not a cookie cutter modern hotel, a plus in my book.

Great beach location

Snorkelling Gardens Pool
One night/ 2 day stay at coral villas to snorkel. Separate villas for 3 couples, great location right on the beach. Dinner meals very good - Australian Chef. Breakfast just ok. This is a really good choice if looking in the region of Amed for family or friends to stay in a large garden setting near beach. Nice pool.

Beautiful accommodation, superb breakfasts and dinners, friendly staff, beautiful grounds.

Pleasant relaxing stay

Sandy beach location, landscaped gardens, friendly staff
Enjoyed our week long stay at the Coral View Villas and would consider returning although I think there are better value for money options available. As a couple we stayed in a family bungalow because there were no double rooms available for our stay without changing rooms. There was a double room on the upper level and twins downstairs with a garden bathroom. Great view from the upstairs bedroom and the bed was comfortable and everything was clean. Gardens are well maintained - just a shame that the was no loungers scattered around the garden to relax in, only 8 loungers cramped together by the pool. There is no beach frontage owned by the hotel - this is filled with the local fisherman's boats and as soon as you walk out of the hotel onto the beach you are enthusiastically greeted by a string of people trying to sell you something. Luckily Coral view has a sister property just along the beach which does have a limited number of loungers on the grass at the edge of the beach and more around the pool. Snorkelling off the beach is ok; nice array of fish but don't expect to see much live coral - definitely no comparison to Egypt for example. Breakfast at Coral View is pretty poor - the only saving grace was the excellent cappuccino which came with a delicious coconut buscuit - but this was at additional cost and the home made bread. Local coffee (and tea) is included with breakfast with an unimaginative fruit selection, yoghurt (or milk if you arrive after 9am at breakfast when it has melted in the sun) and eggs or pancake cooked to order (no accompaniment to the egg at all). Lunch and dinner were much better - great mix of local and western food which was tasty and well presented. Staff were very friendly and service prompt. Lots of plus points about this hotel but depending on the rate at the time, I would consider their sister property hidden Cottages, or the Puri Wirata hotel about 15 mins down the road(although the beach is pebbly here not sandy).
