budget hotel in the heart of hong kong

inexpensive, large rooms (compared to other neighboring hotels), 10 minutes away to causeway bay MTR station and times square
Don't mistake Cosmopolitan Hotel and Cosmo Hotel, similar name but different hotel, both are very close by each other. I and 3 of my friends stayed at Cosmopolitan hotel and we got a double single bed. Room is surprisingly quite big (vs. Hong Kong hotel standard rooms), make sure you check on the sq meters of the room before you book a hotel! Some hotels might offer cheaper price but rooms are tiny and far away from the MTR station. Cosmopolitan hotel is at Queens road, 10 mins walk to causeway bay and times square, very nice if you like shopping. the hotel also provides taxi charter at fixed rate (from and to airport), very convenient. Staffs are helpful. The only downside are: toilet is small and a little bit dirty; and to get to the hotel you need to go down a subway (which is a lot of work when you have big luggage). Bottom line, nice and worth every penny!
Shopping Tip: Go to causeway bay & Times square (just 10 minutes walking from the hotel). What you can find in Causeway bay: apple store, uniqlo (at lee theatre), bossini, sasa, sogo, times square shopping mall (branded boutiques), chinese food, hong kong finger food (the egg puff, waffle, skewers) right in front of times square, branded watch stores, etc.

Small room with limited storage space

Easy access around the island
Small room hard to turn around inside, do not have space for two medium size luggage bags.

fantastic concierge/s and shuttle bus

staff, view and position
stayed three nights with my elderly disabled mother and staff were very helpful at all times. hotel was very busy being lunar new year but all the staff were always willing and happy to help. we enjoyed the buffet breakfast though the food could have been hotter. dined in the restaurant one evening and the food was delicious and well priced. free wi fi in lobby was a bonus.

Nice stay

Value foe money,
Great. Suggest traveller to travel by shuttle bus, bus or tram near the hotel. Else u need to walk the underpass to reach the hotel which is inconvenient with luggage.

I live in HK

The hotel is at the edge of the most busy downtown, i.e. you can enjoy the quite and get back to busy street in 5
I booked this hotel for business partners but not myself, I live in HK. The beauty of this hotel is about it's location, you can practically reach everywhere on HK Island within 30 minutes. Taxies are highly reliable in HK, and they're cheap. The down side of the hotel is that it's not next to the subway station, but why border as taxies are good.

hotel in HK with family sized room!

walking distance to Times Square
Our family (parents, 3 children) needed a hotel in Hong Kong. It is not easy to find a hotel accommodating 5 people. The room had 2 queen sized beds. It was a small room, but we didn't spend a lot of time there--there is too much to do in HK! The tram stops directly in front of the hotel and was the kids favorite mode of transportation (cheap, too!). Several nights we wandered the neighborhood near the hotel and found lots of great restaurants. Even a park where the kids could run around and let off steam. The one drawback was that the hotel was at least 10 minutes walk to the MTR. Doesn't sound like a lot, but with 3 kids on the crowded streets, it was. The tram was our answer to that.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: The MTR passes also work on the tram, and it's much cheaper. Also much slower, but if you get on the top deck, you get a great view of the city.
