Convenient and pleasant, don't mind it for a short stay
We stopped over here for a night while travelling back to Sydney from Queenland. It was very close to the main highway so can get noisy but apart from that staff was courteous, room was clean. Wi fi signal was good and working. Sadly there was no hot water in the shower or bathroom which was the negative. As it was winter and a short stay we did not utilise the swimming pool, BBQ facilities or tennis courts but there were available. This motel is also directly next door to the big banana. Would recommend if for a short stopover.

Carpet abit gross
Swimming Pool, close to big banana.
Scared to not wear socks or shoes on the very stylish green carpet! the rooms need a massive overhaul, the carpet felt and looked dirty. My husband ended up with a horrible rash down his belly side and back the next day, no sign of bed bugs but I really wouldn't know what to look for, I'm fine so could be anything from an allergic reaction that he never gets, to playing with the kids on that gross as carpet... It was gross. The restaurant was closed due to it being a public holiday so no comment there. Won't be staying here again, mainly for the carpet feeling gross, and this mysterious rash. The pool was good, for me anyways, very deep all of a sudden, probably not great for kids or short people though unless they hang out on the stairs.

Unhappy
The bed, the TV
I was given Room which was the very closest room to the Highway, and at the very end of the block. It was very dirty outside (looked as though it hadn't been cleaned up after the last hurricane). The stairs and the downstairs approach were littered with twigs and leaves and lots of very established spider webs, but worse than this, was the fact that there was no hand rail and no light. For anyone, let alone a 70+ year old, this is dangerous. The light outside the room worked, but it was so covered in spider webs that it hardly helped!! The back "porch" was in a similar uncared-for state. I did ask Reception for a change, but was given no sympathy. She did say she would notify maintenance, but nothing was done while I was there. The en-suite had a shower over the bath, but no safety "grabs", so again not really safe for "seniors" Free Wi-Fi was advertised, but unavailable. When I rang to enquire, I was told that there were a few problems with it!!! All in all, it was a very unhappy experience ... and not what I expected. would not want to risk something like this happening again. I have a photographic record of this experience. While it was not badly unhygienic,it was not a pleasant stay.
