Gateway to the Great Yorkshire Dales

The location just upstream from Skipton, Friendly staff and supoerb, small menu.
Most enjoyable with delightful walking in the surrounding countryside. Near the canal and remenants of a recent bicycle race.

Character hotel popular with walkers and cyclists

Stayed in 17 which is accessed directly from the car park, Room was clean if a little basic but I think this hotel is most popular with walkers and cyclists. Breakfast (continental) was included and was satisfactory. Staff were very friendly, good food in the hotel. On the edge of national park, and about 1 mile to skipton town, which is very picturesque.
