Desperately needs a face lift.

location, location, and lovely fluffy bath towels!
The room looked pleasant enough with the bed piled high with cushions etc. However on looking closely the whole hotel is tired, bathrooms need desperate attention, apart from beautiful bath towels. The receptionist on arrival just couldn't care less. Likewise the barmaid. Such a shame as we have stayed in Crown Plaza's overseas and the service and quality is always first class. Not nearly worth the money charged. Being so central and on the doorstep of the SECC surely the management will give this hotel a new lease of life before the Commonwealth Games. Perhaps organising a little class in customer services for the staff wouldn't go amiss either. However the light meal we had in the bar area was very nice and waitress was so helpful and pleasant.

if you need the secc stay here
maybe because the opening game of the football olympics was being staged that night but this was expensive....forget the club lounge...better off at the easy hotel in town...standing room only with nothing of any note to eat...

good location

good restaurant
i was in glasgow on business. The hotel is located on the river which is a pleasant walk, right opposite the science museum, there appaeared to be a lot of renovation work in the area, with new buildings emerging. The staff were very pleasant and the food was good, i would recommend the hot plate as the aa carte was a bit empty wallett empty stomach!

Good conference venue and hotel

affordable hotel at conference venue. Hotel close to major roads therefore easy to find
comfortable room. Hotel had a swimming pool although fairly small. The hotel restaurant was very pleasant and great food for the number of people. Would definitely return again.

Location is OK. Hotel is 'tatty'

Close to River
The hotel itself is quite dirty and taty - The Lifts always give a reasonable first impression, and they are not kept in good condition. Check in took 20 minutes, and i was the only person there. Check out queue at 08:00 am was 8 people deep. Staff had no spark, and seemed old and tired. Room was small and corridors were dark and miserable

Lovely hotel, great river view outside

Just the overall presentation and quality of the hotel
probably wasnt the best of hotels to go with as it wasnt that close to where my meeting was in the west end. but the quaility of the hotel was great. i couldnt really fault it, i never tried any of the facilities as a literally just arrived, showered, sleep, showered and checked out.
