Awful I never experienced
I learned from them Deluxe has the same meaning as normal. I booked 3 rooms for my relatives expecting it would be reasonably good. They gave us all room numbering #1. Smell so bad, too small... I never seen this kind of DELUXE ROOM. They asked me additional money to change room. I paid USD$20/room because we couldn't sleep at all. It was better but still bad smell. It looks very old hotel. Moreover, Noisy at the night. Couldn't sleep.

Need to improve facility
1, the room facility must be improved. 2. Wifi speed is inconsistent and coverage must be improved.

Great location
The hotel was in the heart of the city, close to eateries and local bars. Walking distance to mostly anything. The hotel was nice, although there was signs that showed the age of the hotel, mould on walls, leaking toilet in our room. The beds were comfortable. The staff were ok to deal with although we found it cheaper and easier to book travel and tours through other places rather than the hotel. Breakfast was below average, the day spa was ordinary but plenty of good places to get a massage and facial just around the corner.

Summary: Bed bugs do sometimes happen, even in 'nice' hotels. They did happen here. The hotel management dealt with the situation in an appallingly rude, unhelpful and unkind way. I have spent several months in Vietnam over the last few years and this is the only time I have ever experienced really poor customer service - and it was utterly awful. Details: My sister and I were given a twin room on the 6th floor. On the first night my sister experienced a lot of insect bites - we assumed they were from mosquitoes. On the second night we woke at 2am to find both our beds full of bed bugs. I had also been bitten but my sister had a severe reaction to the bites - around 200 of them over her face, neck, shoulders and arms. We were moved to another room on the same floor which was directly over a bar - it was too noisy to sleep, let alone with the worry of being bitten again. On closer inspection, this room also had bed bugs in the beds. My sister was in quite a bad way and I asked that the hotel send for a doctor, which they did. However the doctors were not helpful and the suggestion that we get in their ambulance at 3am in our nighties to be taken to an unknown destination was not sensible (they did not speak any English and my Vietnamese doesn't stretch to insect-based emergencies). We visited the International SOS centre the next day under our own steam instead - they were absolutely fantastic. We asked the hotel manager to move us again to escape the new batch of bugs and after much heated negotiation we were moved to the 12th floor. I also insisted that the hotel wash all our clothing to prevent further spreading of the insects, and we spent a long time checking every inch of our suitcases and shoes for bugs/eggs. This is, in my reasonably well googled opinion, the absolute minimum containment precaution that should be taken in this kind of situation. Bed and pillow are uncomfortable
Need to upgrade better bed frame and pillow.
