Nice place 4 those who love the quiet and romance
Good service, nice staff, room with antique things.
this is an old french-style hotel and we love it. the room is clean, tidy, maybe small but we satisfy with this, however, the price is little bit high (we have a discount by booking with agoda, but breakfast is not included). the location is good, we hire a motobike for 100k vnd/day and ride to everywhere (bao dai i, ii palaces, linh phuoc pagoda...) and it took about 5 min to the dalat market and xuan huong lake and the great thing is that the street outside is not so crowded. we love the elevator which is the most special thing of this hotel.

perfect stay
+ price + staff
Hotel was nice, staff is very friendly, rooms are clean, but a little bit small. Price was ok. Breakfast is opposite the hotel and is not included. Breakfast itself is ok, but too expensive. Try to find other places around the hotel.

small room and very noisy
beautiful hotel from the outside
I love the look of the hotel from the picture. But very dissapointed of the unupdated aminities. Very old mini bar can't keep anything cool. Bedsheet and towels are worst than motel during my college years. Elevator are so old and didn't work on our first night. My 80yrs mother couldn't walk down because we are on the top floor. The bathtub is unsafe for children and senior citizen. The room was so noisy that it woke me up from the car noise and constant honking. Donot take the room look out to street. The telephone in the room also so old. TV is from another century. This hotel property seriously need to be renovated in order to remain a 4star. It is sad to see such a beautiful hotel from the outside could be that bad in the inside. The staffs are nice but not as nice as many of the hotels I have stay in many location throughout VN. Staffs are not so knowledgable about tour and sightseeing.

Unfriendly hotel reception staff
architecture
The unfriendly hotel reception staff made our stay an unpleasant one. We booked the suite since we were traveling with an 11-year old child and the suite had a sofa bed that we could use for our son. However, at the hotel we learned that the sofa is provided, however, if we wanted some bedding for the sofa, we would have to pay a charge for an extra bed. Furthermore, the hotel reception staff was very unfriendly and kept on reminding us of the extra charges since we booked through Agoda and not through them. Furthermore, we had to walk to a separate building to have breakfast since there was no breakfast room associated to the hotel. The hotel's elevator also kept jamming between floors. We played a round of golf at the nearby golf course, which was managed by the same hotel chain. The day was a really wet one and all greens were poorly maintained and flooded. We even had to push the cart with the caddies to make it run uphill. For all this fun, the golf course still charged us around $300 (2 adults + child) for the 18-hole round of golf, which considering the condition of the golf course and other amenities (such as the male and female locker rooms) is a rip off. We complained about the ponding water on the greens to the manager who said that the course is only maintained for tournaments. We did, however, get a 50% discount of the cart fee for having to push it to run. Vietnam still has a lot to learn about tourism and how the make the customers' stay a pleasant one.

Original Hotel in need of TLC
Friendly staff
Hotel was disappointing. Bathroom was very mouldy and not clean, location extremely noisy even for Dalat. Staff were friendly but this hotel is not good value for money.

Fantastic amazing
Tradition look, Old-fashioned elevator, professional staff
A three-star hotel which looks like five-star~~Lobby is beutiful and staff is quite professional. The old-fasioned elevator is very amazing. And its location is quite near the Dalat city center and the lake.

Incredibly charming period hotel and great service
Historic building, very good service, very good spa
as soon i walked into the lobby i fell in love with the hotel, and soon after, dalat. the charming historic feel of the hotel, from the wooden elevator, to the european style embroidered quilts, the hotel oozes charm. the excellent service staff are the same who also man the jointly owned 5 star dalat palace up the road. our booking didn't include breakfast which is normally taken in the equally charming but expensive (for dalat) cafe de la poste across the road. additionally the spa service in the hotel was excellent and moderately priced, and the hotels location (away from the busy central market or backpacker street) is worth the few extra dollars.
