beautiful beach and pool
location for cultural village, beautiful scenery, pool
We stayed here, Damai Puri Resort & Spa for rainforest music festival. If you want to go the festival, there no doubt to stay here, very close from hotel to the venue (about 5-10 minutes by walk) so no worry about parking and transportation. But the price of this hotel seems a bit expensive thinking about the condition of the hotel.

Location nearby to the Sarawak Culture Village
Near to the Beach, Walking distant to Sarawak Culture Village and Peaceful Enviroment
Hotel seem not properly maintain. Room over price as there is an Event of World Music Festival. From my personal view, they seem not welcoming more people to stay at their hotel as the price is too expensive.

Fantastic location, great value, but needs TLC!
Great value, great location, lovely beach
We've stayed twice already and know what to expect. However for the benefit of others, it's worth stressing both the positives and negatives. The location is fantastic, Damai is a great place to chill out or be active given the quiet beach, watersports, hikes and ease of going to Bako National Park etc. The hotel is also great value for money via this site. It is more expensive than staying in Kuching, but so much nicer in terms of the location. However, it does need a bit of TLC: rooms are fine and comfortable but kind of run down. Occupancy levels are low which makes for a quiet stay, but they do tend to close the bars and some of the restaurants etc. Damai Central next door has great food options of all kinds, and a bar although it is frustrating not being able to get a juice or a sandwich by the pool.
