Friendly and Good location

Location, Hospitality
There were no complaints in term of vicinity to moving around and friendly and helpful staff. However the sound proof is not ideal, as doors tends to close loud and can be heard throughout our stay even during late of night when guests returned.

De Chai The COlonial Hotel review

Beautiful rooms, courteous staff, allowed us early checkin with no charge
Very nice. We got an early checkin with no extra charge. Staff were very polite & courteous. Food was good too. I would definitely visit again if I go to Chiang Mai.

It's just ok but way overpriced.

Room size.
The room size is appropriate. The staff was friendly but not adding value to the service. The breakfast service was way overrated. It actually takes good 15-20 minutes to walk to the night market. I would expect something way better for what we paid.

Noisy AC, unstable watet temperature while shower

location,tidy, clean
Very very bad experience in the Hotel! The sound from air conditioner like a train pass through, even we the fan speed is the lowest, but the sound is much more louder than any other hotels I have stayed in the world before. I have order a suitcase room with my family, both of the room is same, and the staff said is normal performance after checking! Finally , we have to turn off AC to get into sleep. How can we sleep well without AC in Thailand? Shower system is also not working properly, the water temperature is unpredictable. I will never choose it again!

Excellent location

Location, friendly staff and price
Our family really enjoyed staying at this hotel. The location was excellent as it was near the night market areas. There were restaurants, shops and temples just within walking distance, minutes away from the hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast in the morning was very good with enough variety so every morning we were there we could try something different. We were also looking for a hotel that wasn't too expensive like the 5 star resorts and were so lucky to find this gem. We highly recommend it to all.

Small hotel in the city

Simple breakfast, location, Thai features
Good location. There are several hotels in the area which are less expensively and I would consider them for next time. Nice small hotel with many Chinese guests.
