Riverside peaceful location
The location is right on the riverbank of the Mekong River a few km from the Golden Triangle and Chiang Saen, views across the river into Laos
We stayed for 4 nights and used the hotel as a base to explore northern Chiang Rai province. The roads are good quality and well sign-posted so it was easy to travel to Doi Tung and Doi Mae Salong and Chiang Saen and Chiang Rai from the hotel. The hotel is not in town but between the town of Chiang Saen and the small village around teh Golden Triangle. So a car or transport are required. The staff are friendly but very simple service level (1 star level). The food is basic but fresh and Thai food with good fish fresh from the river. The Boutique part of the name seems a bit ambitious. The room was simple and clean with a/c, TV (local channels) and hot water power shower, nice balcony to view the river and watch the boats pass. One day we had a power cut for short time maybe because more guests that night. Car park is limited space but as the hotel was not full we were ok to get a place to park.

Hotel with nice view.

The Hotel got nice view and friendly staff. Room is small and smell. Breakfast was cold. Air con was leaking in the room.

good location for visiting the area
Location for visiting around the Golden Triangle area
The hotel is on the Mekong river, which is great but the rooms did vary in quality, particulaly with the quality of the bathroom. We changed our room during our stay. Same standard but quite different in quality. The hotel arranged a boat trip across to Laos which was not expensive and good value. The service was not very professional but the staff were mostly very nice and obliging. We had a car so were able to travel around the area very comfortably, including to Doi Tung, which is really worth a visit.

River View Hotel
Big window with river view
the hotel was isolated on the bank of river khong and situated between the golden triangle and chiang saen town centre. during our stay there was a road work in front of the hotel. but that didn't bother us as the area was still calm. the balcony was great as it faced the river. the river view was superb with an loas casino island in front of you. the guestroom itself was nice and clean. the bed was comfortable. but the food in the restaurant was disappointed and expensive. a car is needed as you couldn't depend on the public transport.

Good clean room on the river
Nice balcony, friendly staff
the hotel is clean, breakfast is good, and the staff is friendly. there is a really big tokay gecko that hangs out on the wall of the stairwell! the shower in the room is nice, but the bed is extremely firm. i slept better than i thought, but i had doubts when i first sat down on it.

hotel agréable
personnel serviable et accueillant
même si l'hotel se trouve totalement à l exterieur du village de chiang saen et au milieu de nul part et au bord de la route,le fait que celui ci ce trouve au bord du mékong le rend très agréable pour ce reposer. les chambres sont simples mais accueillantes et le personnel de l'hotel au petit soin pour vous rendre le séjour agréable. petit déjeuner malheureusement pas des meilleurs, mais le reste de la cuisine y ai parfait.
