A Cheap alternative stay
A cheap alternative stay. It comes with a common shared kitchen, that provide free breads and milk. Very near to Victoria Market (3-5mins) walk. varies and different buses available near the area. nearest subway is about 15mins walk. I was traveling with one of my friend and book a 6-Bed Female Dormitory. Was completely not used to it. Its not what its like on the photo shown. The room is messes and all the occupants don't look or seems like tourist. They seems more like a long term stay. To be frank, we dont feel safe and there are limited power point in the room to share around. As we will the last 2 occupants that enter in, there's not enough power point for us to charge our mobile phone. Very disappointing, we landed charging at the lobby till the late midnight. While we did realized we are not the only one, where people are also charging along the hallway outside the rooms or even in the shared bathe room. And of course we did not sleep well that night. It's ok for the snore, but there's some other activities that is ongoing in the room, esp. on the lower decker bed of mine. That's really disturbing and uncomfortable. As we are not too used it, we decided to upgrade our next 3 nights to a private room instead. Staff are very helpful and understandable. help us to upgrade to a family room with the difference amount we have to top up. We had a room by ourselves and it spacious with 2 double decker bed and a queen size bed. Still we shared bathe room, but it absolutely cleaner and less noise outside the hallway. Not a bad stay afterall!

Good location, bad service
A big hostel right next to Victoria Market, 10 mins to library, 10 mins to CBD, also with restaurants, Aldi supermarket and a few bars around. No air-con and Wifi in room, a bit hot in summer even there are large windows in room. Anyway, I was satisfied as everything was clean. Anyway, staffs could be nicer and more helpful.
