Cleanliness, privacy, easy to find
The rooms are in bungalow type so you pretty much have a little private villa.. Rooms are spacious, clean, airconditioned, with safety deposit box, clean toilet, with a swimming pool right outside and the bar/ restaurant a few steps away.. Friendly personel including the owner. Its a diving spot so don't expect a beautiful beach front area. But the water is clear. Best for diving!!

Expectations exceeded

the beach house, the companionship of the people there, snorkeling around the reef
We booked for two days in the attempt to have our first diving experience but it didn't happen due to time constrains. This would have made me disappointed but on the contrary it was nevertheless still a pleasant stay due to the very good accommodation and companionship from alex and the staff. Snorkeling around the house reef was already good enough for me. My favorite part of the stay is to have an early morning coffee at the common area while looking at the ocean or while waiting for the sun to rise. We felt so at home. The place is near the highway so its easy to catch a bus to oslob where you can watch the whales sharks or swim with them, the fare was about 60 pesos for a 45min drive. In addition you can also ride trikes, offered by locals, to tour around and see the waterfalls. Or better, have the trip arranged by alex for you. Since its far from the airport, i suggest you take a taxi form the airport to cebu south bus terminal where you will ride a ceres bus bound to bato/ oslob (Fare is about 150 pesos for AC buses) then drop by alcoy when you see the seahorse logo on your left. You can also contact the hotel for them to pick you up directly from the airport.

quite,staff, food
The room is good, the place is quite far but its fine with us.. their food is quite pricey considering its 2 star hotel and the beach is a walking distance..

Fantastic dive resort with a family feel

Diving, comfort, staff
This is the best dive resort that I have been to so far. The resort does not treat you like a numbered guest, but rather like old friends. They accommodated schedules for diving and dinner times. They accommodated meal requests as everything is home cooked. They preach being on holiday first and recreation second, meaning that you will get to do everything that you want to do but let them take the stress of getting it arranged. I got to sit numerous nights with the owner at dinner and drinks afterwards. This resort is not a fancy 5 star hotel with tons of amenities, but they do have the basics to make you comfortable. There is AC in the room, wifi around the resort, massage on site, clean rooms, comfortable beds, well maintained grounds, bar, and food. The staff is super friendly and eager to get things done. As for the dive spots around, the resort is located at the center of a spider's web of dive sites. Within 10 min of the resort by boat, there is access to a dozen or so dive sites all unique in landscape and animals. Within 1.5 hours by boat, you have 4 other fantastic islands to dive at, including a trip to see the whale sharks. This was a very complete diving experience for me. Highly recommend for the price. Only downside, it takes 3 hours by car to get from the Mactan airport to this resort. Recommend arranging pickup by the resort in a private car.

Fantastic Tingko Beach Weekend

1. The ocean reef right outside the beach house 2. Friendly staff 3. Comfort of beach house
Fantastic stay! The hospitality by Alex and the rest of the staff is world class. The unexpected coral reef right outside the beach house which leads you into a true underwater aquarium is truly amaazing. Also, the comfort of the beach house felt like a new home. Will definitely make Dive Point a place to return again and again.

Good place to relax & enjoy the clear blue sea

Near beach, quiet & nice snorkelling area
We like the beach house, very relax & quiet. Easy to access to the sea and snorkelling. The restaurant/receptionist area and the swimming pool is located near to the main road. The beach house is located about 150m away. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Very limited choice for breakfast and snacks (for lunch) and not many restaurant nearby the resort. We did not try the dinner there. We rented a scooter from the resort to explore around. The resort is far from the airport (more than 100km), about 2 hours drive.
