Disappointed previous guest

Front desk staff, tropical surroundings, guest services
I have stayed at Doctor's Cave before and was very pleased. We had a room on the on the third floor above the pool and it was wonderful! So please imagine the shock when I returned and found out that the hotel had gone down drastically!!! The restaurant was gone and the one we were sent to next door never had what was on the menu, the whirlpool was filthy, little roaches were falling from the ceiling in the bathroom, the housekeeping staff was ok, but I have experienced much better at Doctor's Cave. My requests for bedding were not adhered to, the ice machine broke down my final two days, etc... All in all I was there for my birthday for 5 days so I didn't make a fuss, but I will NOT be coming back if this is the level of service and value I get for my money. signed, VERY DISAPPOINTED CUSTOMER

Excellent staff and location

location, staff, gardens
This is a lovely friendly hotel, right opposite Drs Cave Beach, very close to the airport and walking distance from Montego Bay. The staff are really helpful and friendly and there is a free coqtail hour from 6-7pm on a Saturday night. You can pay 100 Jamaican dollars or 1 usd and get a route taxi off the street to the airport or into town. You share these taxis with others, they are like regular passing buses and have a red plate with the location listed on the side door. Breakfast is included - toast with real butter and jams, banana bread and a pastry plus orange juice and coffee with real cow's milk. There is free wifi in the lobby. For two nights it had everything I needed. As it is the cheapest in this category I would stay there again.

Good location, friendly staff, no resturant

The location on the Hip-Strip, close to the beach, ATM, shops and resturants. Ok pool and poolarea. Close to the airport. effektive but a little noisy aircon.
It was good. For staying 9 nights we should have asked for a cooler, really missed a cooler in the room. Poor tv-reception, but otherwise good room. Big plus with pool-table and table-tennis. No resturant though, poor but still breakfast (coffy or te with toasts and muffins). Poolarea ok, but noisy and stinky from the road next to the wall. Nice staff, Kenny in the bar was very nice. Strange check-up calls to our room serveral days. Otherwise nice and clean room, no bugs or ants or anything. God location was the best thing.

Good for an overnight stay in Mo Bay

location to airport, beach access is good.Staff are good.
THe hotel is good. The Hip Strip goes to sleep at 9:00 p.m. The best restaurant is at the free beach end. Little bar across from the beach. Last one that looks at the airport landing strip. Best snapper I have had in Jamaica.

Disappointing hotel, unattractive location

No positive features, left early
Very disappointing hotel with no redeeming features. Staff difficult to deal with, hotel old and outdated. Rooms not nice and very noisy. Windows did not lock and my children did not feel safe and asked if we could leave. Drug dealers outside in street and lot of traffic noise. Would never go back and I strongly suggest you stay elsewhere.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Nearby Doctor's Cave Beach is excellent.

Good service

big rooms, we where upgraded to a "svit" for free.
our ac was so noisy and we complained and got another room directly! the beach (doctors cave) costs 5 usd per person to enter. good, beacause then there is no beach salesman that hussle you. one restaurang in the beach with nice food.

hotel regular
