not near from Termini

value for money, food, equipment
I arrived in Rome very late evening. Donatello Hotel is quite far from Termini hotel by walk. Termini area was not safe in the evening time. So, if you are late-comer, you better find another hotel near Termini.

Perfect AGAIN !

Staff friendliness. Spotless and spacious room . very warm welcome
I have stayed here before and although the owner has many guests all year round he always remembers me. Nothing is too much trouble, the staff from the young ladies serving breakfast to the reception desk are polite, friendly and very helpful.

Friendlyness of all staff. Excellent room , good pressure on shower. 15 mins walk to Colosseum. and excellent local public transport
All the staff including the ones at breakfast couldn't have been more helpful or friendly. Nothing was too much trouble and there was always someone available to offer advise on the best route to take for sightseeing. Would definitely return to this hotel

Very Simple, you get what you pay for.

It was very basic, which is expected when so cheap
The rooms were not so clean, the receptionist was not friendly. It was a simple room, the breakfast left me just drinking coffee. Its a 2km walk from Termini. But you can jump on a tram which will take you there in less than 5 minutes.
Restaurant Tip: The restaurants are not great in this area. The receptionist recommended a restaurant, but it was very ordinary with a lot of tourists.

I've a booked an overnight stay here because I saw the location was good and the rooms were ok. But when we arrived on the day, they transfer us to a different hotel! this is totally a deceit! They transferred us to Hotel Luzatti. We were not really happy about it but we can't do anything since we're already there. So beware of this hotel. Eventhough Hotel Luzatti was an ok hotel. I'm mad that they've deceived us and didn't informed us that there is a possibility of transfering hotels. Anyway, the staff at Hotel Luzatti was very warm and accomodating, the room was ok and the location was ok too.

Nothing out of the ordinary

Good location for sightseeing and access to metro line A, clean room and friendly staff.
one of the cheaper options in rome and reasonable value overall(compared to the overpriced selection there)for location, cleanliness, friendliness of staff and basics such as a comfortable bed and hot shower for short 2 night break. breakfast is very basic and the rooms on the back can be a little noisy due to the trams.international tv is 4 basic channels, 2 of which don't have sound!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: The coloseum is 15 minutes away by foot. Buy tickets onlines to avoid the queues. Ditto for the Vatican.

Lovely hotel, good location

Friendly staff, clean rooms, good location
we arrived late at night, the reception was open, and the man was very friendly. our classic style room was small but very clean, and was clenad every day. the staff in the reception and in the breakfast room was very helpful. the breakfast was simple (according to italian customs): jam, honey, rolls and coffe with milk, but always fresh. the milk was always freshly foamed. the location is very good, there is a bus stop at the entrance of the hotel, and the metro station is 5 min walk from the hotel. we recommend this hotel.

Not convenient and not clean enough

It was hard to find, we wasted 1 hour to find this hotel. Not very convenient, quite far away from the Metro Station. The room was small and the unacceptable thing was, the bathroom has an unpleasant smell. You can tell that the hotel was very old and not well maintained. The street and environment surrounded was not safe at night. The breakfast was bad, not much choices and the croissant was not crisy at all.
