Disappointing, but I had read the reviews!

Location, Front desk staff, Pool area
The hotel physical facilities were good - the pool area, the restaurant area by the pool, the indoor public rooms. The front desk attitude was very helpful. One aside - there appeared to be no supervision at the pool, and very young children were often playing without adult supervision. We had two main disappointments - the restaurants and the food, and the rooms. Firstly the restaurants. Breakfasts consisted of rice, noodles, an egg dish (scrambled egg, omelette, boiled egg), sometimes fish/meat, and sausages. That was it - no fruit (although mangoes were on sale there one morning), no fruit juice (only a cordial drink), coffee but no tea, no bread, rolls, margarine etc. As a foreigner, I would have liked to see a few slices of bread and a toaster. But no. And on a busy morning, all that was available when we came down was rice, noodles and boiled eggs. There had been chicken, but it was long gone. We tried a la carte a few times, but the meal sizes were enormous. We asked for half sized meals at the same prices, but were told by the wait staff that "it was not possible". Yes really. We used doggie bags for the surplus for a bit, but it got far too much for us. However, Robinsons and its food outlets was close. Several problems in the rooms. First the showers - hot water is only available in the morning, but that was academic for us because the toggle thing that you pull to divert water from bath to shower, was broken, and we could only use the bath. The bathroom floor was dirty. We were issued with a towel each but no bathroom floor mat. One was however, produced when asked for. The other big negative was the aircon. This had three settings, blasting ice cold air, blasting warm air with fan, or off. There were controls, but they may have been cosmetic for all the effect they had!. And it pointed directly at the bed. The diverters worked a little, but the main air flow still directed at the bed. So we shivered at night. On the plus side, Wifi was free but weak.

Nothing extraordinary for the price

nice building, good bed, good room cleaning service
Internet was not connected most of the three days but worked right next door at the coffee shop. Food and breakfast were close to awful. Coffee was good. Few T.V. channels. Staff were nice.

It's ok

The pool, breakfast and location
Room, first one on the main road was too loud, and seemed old. Everything worked just old. The second one on request was much better by the pool, cleaner, and very quite! People, where all very friendly and I had no complaints. It's one of the better places to stay, but should really look at improving the rooms to bring the standard up to a more modern level.

Not so pleased

Only the pool and the queen sized bed
First the only good things we can give especially what my fiance said were the bed and pool and that's it. The room was ok but not the bathroom. The bathroom was very small, the sink was fast leaking, the exhaust fan was not working and sometimes the shower water flow was slow. The room they gave us was near the road and very noisy. The reception staff was like not so happy with their job. They didn't provide us the information of the stay upon check in and did not even greeted us like what other hotel staff do. Lastly, the breakfast was very bad.

No hot water, no internet

Nice waiter staff
I am staying in this hotel since 2012 every year, and seeing a gradual decrease in up keeping. The bathrooms are not clean, moldy grouts around bath tub, smell moldy as well. 8 mornings out of 10 there is no hot water and 9 days out of 10 there is no internet in the hotel. We had to walk to Bo's Coffee every day just to check my email. The place needs a major face lift to qualify as a three star hotel!
