Great Hanok Stay experience! I'd recommend to my f
Taxi drop off was a bit weird....but the girl at Holly's Coffee pointed us in the right direction to locate Dukmanjae. Look for the white signs posted on the alley wall across the street from Holly's Coffee and you'll be there in less than a minute. Our wonderful host helped with restaurant reco's and called our cab when it came time to leave. Good location away from the crowds on a holiday weekend.

Good experience
good location, clean and confortable
You can really experience an hanok in this hotel. The owner is very kind and helpful. It was very perfect. The only thing it's the view behind the garden ^^"" but for the price it's really ok. The room was perfect and in the middle of the hanok village. I really enjoy it.

Fantastic little place
The owner, the location, it's quaint historical setting
It was lovely except for a group next door - American Chinese who somehow didn't know what it meant by please be quiet after 930pm. Talking like they own the place. Guess that's normal with the Chinese even if they are ABC. Other than that, the owner was awesome. Place is close to the Hanok village. Bit hard to find cos there was not much signage along the main road. For those who are going, It's just in the small alley opposite of Holly's coffee. From the train station, u can take bus 119. It's bout 20min ride. Bus stop is across the road from the station. On the right side, with ur back facing the station. After getting off, follow the road and turn right into the lane for bout 2mins walk and you should see Holly coffee on ur right. Lane to enter dokmanjae is across on the left.

Hanok Stay
Location is excellent on the edge of the Hanok village
This is a basic room where you sleep on slim mattress laid on the floor. For most people this is extremely uncomfortable. You can hear every sound from your neighbours. The location is very good being on the edge of the Hanok village down a side lane. The owner speaks good English and is very helpful. Probably only suitable for young backpackers.

very helpful host
very helpful and friendly host, beautiful building and garden, great location
Really enjoyed our stay here. The lady who ran it was very helpful and lived just beside it so was easy to contact if needed. Lovely surroundings - peaceful garden and beautiful traditional rooms. Takes a little getting used to sleeping on mats on the floor though if you are not used to this.
