Quiete, relaxing and good food.

Relaxed atmosphere, clean rooms and good food.
Very enjoyable, relaxing and an ideal place to "get away" from the rigors of every day life.

We had a nice stay.

Pool steam room sauna
My husband and I enjoyed our stay. We did ask for champagne as it was our anniversary . I did mention that this had been asked for on our arrival. After dinner it was still not in our room. We addressed this at reception and after an apology a bottle was sent up to our room immediately. Thank You.

Lovely setting and very spacious

A very nice atmosphere with most willing staff amongst the variety of bars, restaurants and seating areas.
we had a lovely stay with staff being very helpful although i felt at times they were a little understaffed at reception. good value food, better than pub fayre but not that much higher. the hotel rooms are spacious and well equipped and the grounds are extensive and a pleasure to walk around. the swimming pool and spa area are very nicely designed and a pleasure to use. remember to bring a pound coin for your locker! dressing gowns and pool slippers are available through housekeeping but you must ask for them to be sent to your room. ideally do this through reception when checking in. this makes getting to and from the pool much easier. all in all i would recommend the hotel and would visit again myself.

Impressive building in beautiful grounds

The hotel has impressive period features combined with modern facilities.
We were immediately impressed by the charm and grandeur of this hotel as we approached along a long drive through an attractive wooded area. We arrived at a busy time, however, check in was efficient and the staff were very polite and welcoming. We were in a deluxe room which was spacious and comfortable. The standard of decor was in keeping with a 4 star hotel. The breakfast buffet was adequate but not of a high standard and therefore slightly disappointing given the setting. There is a large, pleasant bar area with friendly staff. The leisure facilities are very good, with an adequate fitness room and an impressive pool. The onsite golf course added to the overall attractiveness of the grounds but unfortunately we did not have the time to play. All the staff at the hotel were pleasant helpful and helped to provide a relaxed and welcoming experience. Would definitely stay here again if in the area .

Beautiful hotel set in lovely surroundings

Spotlessly clean everywhere. food was excellent, enormous afternoon tea was a highlight. Outstanding gym and pool.
I chose this hotel for the spa and pool facilities, it certainly did not disappoint. My travelling companion was an elderly person and we were able to have interconnecting rooms, she enjoyed the luxury of the room while I took the opportunity to check the spa and gym out. All the staff were accomodating and friendly. My only niggle was that I would have liked to have a mini fridge in my room but overall the rooms and stay was fantastic. Would definately recommend this hotel to others.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Enjoy a day in the quaint georgian town of Holt, crab salad at the Feathers is well worth having.

Great location, beautiful grounds!

Lovely grounds, swimming pool, spa and family friendly.
We stayed for 2 nights at Dunston Hall with our 14 month old daughter and had a lovely time exploring the grounds and spending time in the pool. We will definitely plan to visit again and have told our family and friends about it, and have recommended it.
